Chapter 73

Later that same evening, Alex arrived at Ellison's manor in his car. He was there to pick up Zelda for dinner.

After Alex saw the message from Zelda asking them to have dinner together, he felt happy and accepted it without hesitation.

Abigail walked out of the manor after Alex had rung the bell. Seeing Alex, a smile appeared on her face.

"Oh, my good son-in-law is here; come inside." She said

"Mom, actually I'm here to pick up Zelda; we're going for a dinner."

"A dinner?" Abigail asked with a frowning face.

Seeing her expression, Alex guessed that Abigail was worried Zelda might reject him.

"Mom, you don't have to worry, Zelda herself asked for the dinner." Alex said with a smile.

Abigail was shocked after hearing what Alex said.

"Alex, do you mean Zelda herself asked you both to go for a dinner?" Abigail asked in disbelief.

Per her understanding of her daughter Zelda, she would never invite a guy for dinner.
