He was happy to see Lillian, the miller’s senior chef, while he was still living at the Miller’s mansion. Lillian was like his mother and saviour, most nights she would sneak and bring food for him when Mrs. Maria would deprive him of a meal.

Jason disentangled from her after the warm hug, it was like a mother and son discussion. Graham noticed how his boss was smiling freely at the woman which sent a signal to him that they knew each other.

“How are you doing, Mrs. Lilian.” Jason vehemently asked.

“I am fine and you Jason.”

“I am fine, Mrs. Lilian,” Jason replied.

He wasn’t surprised to see Lilian at the plantation, the plantation once belonged to the family she worked for. His face was engrossed with a smile seeing Mrs. Lilian, the memories of how she used to treat him flashed on his face.

“You never bother to check up on me,” she questioned, her eyes fixed on him. She had gotten to see him and now fathom everything she had heard about him from Danny and Jessica.
