The next day.

Lola woke up and came downstairs. Jim had already prepared breakfast for everyone in the house.

She snorted at Jim as he served food. “You’re her husband, but my daughter puts me before anyone else, Jim. You still can’t accept that after these many years of living with her?” she shook her head. “This is why I’ve picked Bob. He’s rich and has many connections.
