Austin couldn’t drive peacefully because Rena and Jim were sitting in the back, and Jim had been constantly trying to poke and tickle Rena at different places. She was hissing at him, telling him to stop or Austin might notice, but Jim felt it too funny to stop after seeing the weird expressions she kept making.At one point, he sneakily closed in and blew air through the ear, and she had enough. Jim’s gut wrenched as Victor walked away as a defeated man.“I realized something today. Not all snakes slither in the wild,” Jim uttered. “Some walk among us.”Lola just smirked at his words. “If you’re going to talk with the CEO, then why are you taking Jim with you?” Lola asked her daughter. “You should take someone like Austin, but why Jim? What do you think the CEO of Draknor Finance will think when you tell her he’s your husband and he came here just to tag along and pass time?”“Mom, that’s…” Rena didn’t know what to say.Austin smiled big-time because Lola was roasting Jim very finely, and Rena looked very subservient to her mother.“You have to appear extra professional when you’re dealing with big clients, Rena,” Lola told her. “That’s how you’re going to separate yourself from the crowd and stand out. There was no struggle, no wrestling whatsoever, in the game, for it ended in less than a second.Nobody could believe what they saw. They couldn’t even recollect what they saw because it happened so fast. They looked at Tom, wondering if he wasn’t ready, but Tom looked confused and perplexed. Jim took Victor along and went to the bank to withdraw 150,000 dollars. He built hope in Victor with the check; however, the bank employee told Jim that the check was canceled only minutes ago, leaving him shocked.Jim was so stunned, he couldn’t move for a while. He thought of giving 120,000 dollars to Victor, and then keeping 30,000 dollars with himself. However, he didn’t see this happening at all. He didn’t think Lola would be so cruel and shameless.Jim couldn’t even turn his face to look at Victor anymore.Victor patted Jim’s shoulder. “Your mother-in-law made a fool of both of us, but don’t feel bad about this. Even though he didn’t want to see Lola’s face and only came here for Rena, Lola was on the ground floor, staring toward the entrance, as if waiting for him.“The guards already saw me enter the building not long ago, so why are they refusing to let me in now?” Jim wondered. “Surely, my aunt didn’t do something, or did she?”[She could have told the guards to block you from entering just to humiliate you.] Joe hissed because he was also feeling very angry.“Why are they listening to her?
