CHAPTER 35

There was no struggle, no wrestling whatsoever, in the game, for it ended in less than a second.

Nobody could believe what they saw. They couldn’t even recollect what they saw because it happened so fast. They looked at Tom, wondering if he wasn’t ready, but Tom looked confused and perplexed. He was not expecting to lose, but because he lost, he didn’t know how to perceive it.

Tom gritted his teeth and pushed the car keys toward Jim.

Jim was happy to take the keys.

“Want to try again?” Tom asked. “If you win again, I’ll give you my second car, Porsche 911.”

“Are you sure?” Jim asked.

“I don’t speak words without thinking,” Tom replied.

“Alright, then. Let’s have it your way,” Jim said. “If I lose, I’ll give your keys back.”

Tom grinned because he liked what he heard. This time he slapped himself a couple of times and fully prepared himself mentally and physically before locking his hand with Jim’s hand.
