Chapter 8

Jake had just hung up on Janet and another call entered, Jaje picked up the call and the image of his friend showed up.

“Jake you divorced Sonya! I didn't think you'd ever do that!”

His friend looked at the bed behind Jake and shot a shocking glare at Jake, “How did you get such a lavish apartment in r is that a wallpaper behind you?”

Jake nodded and replied, his face stoic with no expression. “No, it's my apartment.”

“There is a classmate gathering tomorrow, you must come,” he said.

“Classmate gathering!” Jake asked in surprise, even when he was together with Sonya he wouldn't attend the classmate gathering, he would listen to his classmates mocking him and calling him all sorts of bad names.

“Yes, it's the same date every year, you should attend this time around. It's at 6:00 pm at the Silver Planet Hotel. Many classmates are insulting you and saying Sonya divorced you because you cheated on her, they labelled you ungrateful they want you to clear the rumour. I have told them that you'd appear,”

Jake smiled as he loosened the fist by his side. “I know, I will see if I have time to attend.”

Jake did not wait for his friend to speak before hanging the call.

His expression changed, he knew he would meet those nerving people sooner or later. He knew that the moment they saw him they would start swearing at him but he knew it was just a classmate gathering and more so he gave to remove the stain from his name. It would clear the rumour if he went there, or add to it, he smirked.

But Jake wondered if Sonya knew he would be there would she appear?

Jake relaxed on his bed and a small smile crept on his face at the thought of luxury, the rich experience.

Jake was driving his new Viodom Mercedes to the Silver Planet Hotel,

“Sonya, do you see that extravagant car? Was that not the car your boyfriend wanted to get in instalments, the person driving it must be very rich.” Sonya's sister exclaimed, pointing ahead of the road to the glistening car.

“You’re right, who could be driving such a car, let’s catch up with him and check for ourselves.”

Jake noticed that the car behind him earlier was suddenly chasing after him.

Jake saw the car chasing after him and his interest in winning suddenly increased.

Two expensive cars raced down the highway and stopped at the Silver Planet Hotel,

When the three of them came down they rushed towards the car and admired it.

“It’s Voidom Mercedes, I couldn't be wrong!” Ella, Sonya's sister exclaimed. Looking at the luxury car parked close to their own with glistening eyes.

She put her lips, she had been interested in the car for a long time and when Sonya's boyfriend thought of buying it she was excited she would get to drive it, her eyes flashed to Manson her boyfriend who couldn’t afford a small car so he was her least option at that moment her interest sprung.

“The owner must be as handsome as the car. I will see if I can seduce him.” Ella told her sister proudly.

The moment the car door opened and a familiar figure appeared in their eyes, their faces suddenly shrunk sour with shock.

Sonya was stunned when she saw Jake. She rubbed her eyes to check if it was a ghost.

Jake saw the few people in front of him and smiled bitterly.

Although he knew long ago that he would meet Sonya since he came to Silver Planet hotel he did not expect it to be so fast, especially with the rumours in her favour.

"Hey, what a coincidence!" Jake smiled brightly at them and called out.

Sonya’s sister and her boyfriend Manson were smacked and looked at the smile on Jake's face, her face twisted.

Jake looked at Ella with a ferocious expression and smiled bitterly in his heart. He didn't know how he got into such a pampered lady. Sonya’s sister always treated Jake like a pushover and regarded him as not pleasing to her eyes.

Since she was Sonya’s sister, Jake had to be tolerant with her and he even tried to improve her impression towards him by flattering her. But now, he would never do such stupid things again.

“Jake your car is not bad indeed,” Anthony said shocked by Voidom's roaring appearance.

“Yeah, I know,” Jake said casually.

“You must have rented it.” Sonya’s sister said with disdain.

Jake tilted his head, in the eyes of this woman he was nothing but a mouse and they had to go far to doubt his ownership of the car.

Jake sighed and replied to them. “Sorry, I bought this car.” He turned to Manson, Anthony and completed his word. “At full price.”

“Hahaha, you want to blind us? Where did you get so much money? Did you steal it, or you robbed others.” Ella sneered.

Jake smiled lightly and said, "You're thinking too highly of me. With my ordinary body and weak hands, how can I steal or rob? My girlfriend just gave the money to me." Jake was used to being provoked by this lady many years ago, so he was not surprised when he heard her accuse him.

Jake looked at Ella and thought to himself, “Is she a lady from a noble family? She's more like a jealous woman who often quarrels with others! How dare she look down on me with a narrow mind like that? I was indeed very good-tempered back then, being able to endure this damned woman for so long."

"You have a new girlfriend?" Ella was a little surprised. She thought no one would look at Jake twice if he left his sister but that was not the case, the stupid guy moved in quickly. “You’re so shameless, after feeding off our family you didn't wait to get over the breakup with Sonya before moving on,”

Jake nodded and said sweetly, "Of course! My sweetheart is very generous! She gives me whatever I want!” Jake said without considering Sonya's emotions and Sonya felt bittered by this rolling her eyes.

Manson looked at Jake with surprise and then turned to look at Sonya expecting some kind of reaction out of her.

Sonya's sharp eyes looked directly at Jake. Jake couldn't help frowning. Her eyes were full of reproach and pain. Jake only felt that the sight of Sonya was frightening.

"Sonya your car is not bad. The Jaguar Series was produced by Corolla Company. Their star shuttles are publicly recognized by their high price-performance ratio. You are driving a Simple Jaguar! The enigmatic jaguar is better than this one, but it’s more expensive as well. Miss Sonya your shuttle it seems you have driven it for a few years. It looks a bit old; you may change a new one.” Jake said accessing the car that he presumed belonged to the boyfriend she cheated on him with.

The price of a simple jaguar was 180 million while a enigmatic jaguar was around 300 million.

"I didn't expect you to know that much about luxury shuttles now," Sonya looked at Jake coldly.

Jake said sympathetically, "My new girlfriend tells me this! She was too rich, so she thought that I should help her spend some money, so I studied luxury shuttles from her. Sorry, I have some business to deal with, so please forgive me that I can’t always be by your side like before.”

Sonya looked at Jake back with a storm brewing in her eyes.

"Sister, he's gone. Let's go too," Ella tugged at Sonya's dress and Manson's sleeve.

“Jake is a big catch now, I was shocked when he paid for the car in full I didn't take him seriously, he must be dating a sugar mummy that would spend in him.” Sonya was still stunned after a while she came back to her right senses and nodded. “He bought the Voidom 365 million in full, she must be from Silver Planet.”

The two sisters exchanged a startled gaze, unfazed by Jake's appearance. “There is no way he paid for the car, he rented it.” Ella walked into the silver Plent Hotel disgruntled.
