Chapter 9

“Jake you're finally here, I have been waiting for you for a long time.” his friend Trent rushed towards him. “Did you really lodge at Silver Planet Casanova VIP room?”

Jake looked at Trent and teased, “You're such a know-it-all all.”

“Come on I got the news from Emma, she is here too, you first bought a luxury shuttle, then a VIP suite of 30 thousand, you're a posh now.”

He said with an obvious jealous tone and thought to himself: Jake spent over 300 million on a star shuttle and 30 thousand on a one-night suite. He spent such a huge amount after his break up in total. What kind of person is his girlfriend? She is so stupid that he would give Jake that much money!

"You even got a VIP suite?" As soon as Ella walked in, she heard the conversation between Jake and Trent.

Jake smiled and said. “It's just a small suite, it's not even compared to the price of your daily spending my fair lady.”

“Looks like you've soared higher this time.” Ella huffed in disbelief.

With his sharp jawline retracting and his dimple sinking in. Jake smiled lightly.

“You are selling your face and body for money! You will soon be abandoned when your sugar mummy finds a more handsome one! Don’t act too showily! Or you’ll lose everything you have overnight!" Ella said with a grudge.

Jake nodded and touched his face, "Thank you for reminding me, my lady. I know it's not a long-term plan to live my life like this, so I have to take advantage of my face and my body since I'm still young, strong and handsome with fair skin. I need to get as much as possible when my sugar mummy still adores me instead of wasting away as a house boy!"

Ella's face darkened, "Jake, you are so shameless!"

"Miss Ella after so many years, your comments on me have not changed at all. Shameless. thick-skinned. Worthless. Cheap. Can't you change your words a bit? I’m so bored of it. If you were a stand-up comedian, I wouldn’t pay a single coin for your show." Jake said with a smile.

Jake has stood to her profanities because of Sonya he always felt he should develop a good relationship with this ill-tempered lady, however now he doesn't even care what Sonya said or did let alone Ella her sister.

“Jake, you're thick-skinned! It's been so many years, but you haven't improved at all except for the thickness of your skin!" Ella said spitefully.

“Sonya doesn't care, her new man is hard working and has a career at least he doesn't follow sugar mummies around like you!”

"How can I? I have improved a lot. Working is not my speciality. At the very least, I've changed my woman into a richer, more generous, and more considerate one!" Jake took out his black diamond gold card and shook it at Ella. "The black diamond gold card issued by the Central Bank. I can spend my girlfriend's money as much as I want without spending limits. I'm just worrying about how to spend money every day."

Jake looked at Sonya who was standing beside Ella. His face was like the bottom of a pot. Emma, their classmate, dared not say a word. She couldn't get the nightmare of losing her job off her chest, but he didn’t want to be impolite, so he greeted Sonya carefully, "Sonya, you're here!"

Sonya's eyes were fixed on Jake while Jake squinted back at him unhappily. He wondered why Sonya looked at him like that as if Jake owed her money.

Alright, Jake believed that he did owe Sonya money. After all, everyone thought that Sonya was his patron back then. But he was just a substitute for her boyfriend indeed. Jake recalled and found that Sonya did not spend too much on him. And that he was the one doing the spending yet she dumped him without thinking twice or feeling remorseful, they were the real thick-skinned here if he was to judge.

However, Sonya was willing to spend great money and time on her boyfriend and went public with him on the day of their anniversary even acting in all kinds of TV dramas. She always created time for her boyfriend. But she never appreciated Jake for the little he tried to provide for her.

Sonya had bought a lot of clothes for Jake indeed, but Jake guessed that it was because Sonya was afraid that Sonya would be wearing cheap clothes in front of others and that would embarrass her, as he was the young lady of the Cotoroni Family of Silver Planet.

Jake looked at the black-faced Sonya; he felt sick and turned to leave when a voice call from the crowd.

It was Jesse, one of his classmates. “You're shameless, do you think you'd get away feeding off of people, Ah Miss Sonya here told us you cheated on her that is why she divorced you.”

Another of his friends with a screechy voice chimed. “It was expected, once a gold digger forever a gold digger. After doinging off the Cotoroni dry you ran away to a much better woman.”

Jake looked at them with indifference, if his friend hadn't told him he would have tried hard to defend himself but no, he had more pressing matters wanted than their fake theories.

“Well, a poor man has choices too, Sonya here…”

“Let's not talk about all those, we're here for the reunion.” Sonya cut in and Jake smiled bitterly, he stepped back making no effort to defend himself, knowing that if he did he wouldn't be spitting his saliva on deaf ears.

Jake sat by the bar and snapped his fingers at the bartender.

"A glass of Château Lafite, thank you."

The well-trained bartender quickly handed Jake a glass of Lafite.

Sonya walked straight to Jake and sat down. "When did you learn to drink?"

"Wine is a good thing, Sonya. It can relieve the pain when you are abandoned by your lover, do you want some? It’s my treat!" Jake shook the glass in his hand and smiled contemptuously. “I forgot James’ seed is growing inside of you.”

"You’ve found a new girlfriend," Sonya ignored Jake's invitation and slyly asked directly. “It was too

Instant.”

Jake sneered and said, "Actually, it's not a girlfriend. It's more suitable to call her My Sugar Mummy."

"You seem to be proud of being taken as a sidekick?" Sonya looked at Jake with a darkened face.

Jake tilted his head and said with his charming eyes flashing, "My sugar mummy has the finest figure, the richest family, and the most generous funding for his lover. Of course, I'm proud of being kept as a side piece by her."

Sonya looked at Jake fiercely, "You're not afraid of being embarrassing…"

"If I’ve found an ugly and petty patron, that would be embarrassing. But my dear girlfriend is beautiful and charming. Everyone would envy me when they see her, then how can they think it’s embarrassing?"

Jake thought for a moment and whispered in Sonya's ear, “Tell you a secret! Even though many people abused me for being shameless, they all envy me for finding such a wonderful girlfriend behind my back!”

Sonya could not respond but felt speechless for a moment.

"Your patron is so excellent, then you must not be the only one he loves." Sonya's heart was boiling with anger, so she blurted out her sarcastic words. However, as soon as she spoke, she regretted it.

Jake shook the glass in his hand and said calmly, "You are right! She has many lovers besides me! And you are going to be your lover’s baby mama?” Sonya's expression turned fierce when her hand flew across Jake's face and eyes were directed at them.
