CH042: End This Misery

Jed gave a short nod and rested against the window, closing his eyes. Although his head stopped bleeding and the wounds were beginning to heal, he would have migraines every now and then.

'But this road wasn't this jammed when we passed earlier,' he thought confusedly, wondering what caused the traffic.

The driver quickly came back inside. "Sir, the situation is dire and I guess we are going to be stuck here for a while as the throng has completely blocked the road."

Jed sat up and peered forward. That was when he realized most of the doors of the cars in front were open and people were outside pointing at whatever was going on.

"What's wrong? What's happening?" He questioned; his curiosity was piqued. Did an accident occur?

"I overheard the crowd's conversation. A young lady is hanging by the edge of the bridge. She wants to commit suicide," The driver sighed.
