Road Through Damnation
Chapter 11
So, This Is Mana 4
Drew had always found the antics of his two mothers to be funny. He found it funny because it was his first-time having parents of the same gender. He found it weird too because his culture frown on such acts, but what can he do. He was now in a new world with endless possibilities and knowledge hidden from sight. But Drew could still not shake off the feeling that his mothers were in fact the same person.
He could not prove that theory now, but he did not see it as being impossible in the distant future. He was still tired and exhausted because of the mana gathering theory he used. So, after the constant failures he got tired and feel asleep. Only to be awaken by his mothers’ arguments again.
Drew found it frustrating and unpleasant, but he decided to listen to their blabbering’s’ anyway because he was still trying to learn the language spoken in this world. After constantly listening to his parents argue among themselves during this past week. He managed to gain one useful information, and that was the language spoken here had some similarities with the English Language.
Due to his line of work in his previous life Drew had to travel a lot, so he learnt a lot of languages he deemed useful. Some of the languages he learnt were English, French, Chinese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean and a lot of local languages including Akan, Yoruba and among others.
Drew believed that to be a tyrant and devil one must learn a lot of languages to show his superiority when trading. And that helped him in his dealing and prevented him from being cheated on several occasions.
Drew after learning all these languages, understood one thing and that was every language had some similarities with each other. Because he believed humans at one point in evolution had stayed together so the art of language learning had to come from one source.
But, with the emergence of migration and civilization the language that had been passed down had become more refined and devoid of many animalistic codes. He also believed languages in their current state was due to factors such as religion, geographical reasons and a whole a lot of crab.
(A.N Guys in fact I do not know if my answer is correct or wrong. I am just an author who has a wide imagination. Please do not ask me questions, I clearly cannot answer.)
‘After studying the interactions between my two mothers, I realized that the language they spoke was a bit like English. But also had this weird combination of different languages which were Chinese, French, and Spanish put these combinations were rarely used.’ Drew thought to himself as he watched his mothers pounding themselves with their fists.
(A.N For those who do not know, English is a thief and a petty one at that. That is why, I find it hard to score high marks in my English test in school. Also, the variety of the language makes many of us who are trying to learn the language confused.)
Drew was mesmerized by the fight he was witnessing right in front of him. He knew all those punches that were thrown at each other could very well kill him, but he paid no attention to it. He was engrossed in the fight. And he did nothing to hide that excitement.
It was Drew’s first time watching a fight which used magic, so he paid rapt attention and took notes in his head. But the problem was he was watching the fight sideways which made it a bit difficult for him.
He realized that Anna and Raven had imbued themselves with mana which made their punches heavier and increased their speed to unbelievable limits. He was gaining new insights with mana and his views on how to use mana began to change.
Drew formally thought that mana had to always be used outside of a person’s body but never did he consider the thought of mana being used to increase one’s physical prowess. The fight enlightened him greatly and he could not wait to test his theories out.
Another reason Drew was so interested in the fight was because he saw the blood of both Anna and Raven. He was an enthusiastic fan of gore and made sure to always take note of such scenes.
Then it dawned on Drew blood, the transporter of the body. He knew blood was one of the most important body parts and without it a person cannot live. Drew had once tried to see if a person would stay alive if he extracted about 80% of a person’s blood over a period of 1 week. And what he saw marveled him.
He realized that the person had become so weak and tired despite Drew feeding the person with 3 meals a day. Drew also realized the person’s ass and breast had become soggy and looked dried. They were no different from deflated balls.
Drew was amazed with this discovery because the person he had used as a test subject had meaty thighs and ass with an E-cup breast to top it off before the experiment. But loss it all in a span of 1 week. Drew had indirectly found the cure for obesity.
‘So, the question now is can blood also transport mana like oxygen to other parts of the body? If the answer is yes, then let us try the mana circulation one last time.’
With that Drew closed his eyes and began taking in deep breaths, this time he focused on his blood and tried it feel it flowing through him. He began to feel the surreal feeling one has when their blood raises to extreme levels.
An example is when one is anger, it has proven that when one is in that mood the person’s heart becomes highly active there by pumping out a lot of blood giving a significant amount of strength to a person. But the excessive beating of the blood can also be detrimental to one’s health which can kill you without you knowing.
But Drew was a person who did not stress let get to him, so his blood pressure had always been normal except in case where he finds out that a person has betrayed his trust.
He was a person who hated backstabbers to his core, he hated people like that so much he felt a world without them would be good. Example of such people is the Devil. So, whenever Drew exterminated such people, he always had a smile plastered on his lips.
‘Is ok let’s get this shit done with.’ Drew closed his eyes and began to gather mana in his lungs again.
This time, with the small mana he managed to gather, he moved them quickly to his heart for fear of them disappearing into thin air.
When he moved that little amount of mana to his heart, he felt his heart pumping that mana to the various parts of his body which refreshed him.
He was glad to have proven his theory with mana. Drew knew this would certainly opened doors for future success. And he also realized his bottleneck due to his current body. Drew cursed out loudly cursing his pitiful form.
“I guess my mana storage will increase as I grow older so there is no need to stress over it.” At that moment he got a notification from the holographic panel in a seductive voice.

Road Through DamnationChapter 12A Day Out 1“Raven hurry up and put Drew in his clothes, if we waste another minute we would be terribly late.” Anna shook her head lightly at the thought of Drew’s mana circuit awakening. It was too early if someone were to ask her. She also felt like Drew had force that to happen. This makes her to wonder if Drew was really a child because ever since he was born it was one weird shit after another. For example, Anna could always feel Drew’s gaze on her anytime he was around her. At most time Anna felt Drew’s gazes were discerning her.Anna previously had asked Raven if she also felt Drew’s discerning looks and Raven replied yes. This made Anna ask herself is “Drew a child though”.Whilst lost in her thought, Raven’s voice made Anna step out from her train of thoughts.“Anna we are ready now, you can find us downstairs.” Raven’s voice echoed in the house showing her excitement for this outing. It was quite understandable because Raven had never visit
Road Through DamnationChapter 13A DAY OUT 2Drew was current pissed and mad because his mother had moved from place that finally had a smell of his roots. Drew also tried to understand Anna but still could not get the feeling off his chest. He just sat on Anna’s lap and played with her hair as she waited for the settlement head to make his entrance. As they waited for the settlement head Drew stole a few glances at some of the artifacts in the room and he must say the settlement head was rich. The room which welcomed both Anna and Drew was filled many artistic works. Some of the works were statues of the settlement head himself, paintings of himself and several carved images of monsters. The works all looked expensive, and Drew began to wonder who the settlement was?The bed in the room also did not escape Drew’s eyesight making Drew wonder how many women the settlement head had put to bed. Drew’s mind did not venture near the thought of his mother becoming a plaything of the settle
Road Through DamnationChapter 14Fast Forward 1Anna had begun to realize her son was growing at a faster pace as compared to children his age. He also seem quite intelligent to her and quite adapt in the skill of mana circulation.Anna knew it was only a matter of time until she found out the reason for her son’s fast growth because she was now scared inwardly. Drew’s gazes were becoming too intense now, and Anna felt like Drew was looking right into her soul making her always think twice before she acts when she is with Drew.“God please help me take care of this child because he is more of demon than I was during my childhood. I just hope he does not inherit the bad side of me because it can be really bad.” Anna prayed in her heart as she felt Drew gawking at her.But Anna did not know Drew was studying her and trying to be like her. Drew had been with Anna for the past 6 months. And during those 6 months he had grown to rely on Anna like how a baby cub would rely on its mother fo
Road Through DamnationChapter 15Fast Forward 2Drew POVI have been in this world for a year now and loss all hope of going back to planet earth. I know magic is here but still the lack of technology was a minus for me. Look I am a person from the 21st century and an African to boot.I have become used to a life where technology makes my life easier and helps me solve my problems. But on a second thought, maybe just maybe because I am living in this backwater place access to technology has become a bit difficult.Because, I had come to learn that this planet is way bigger than earth and it has not been fully explored yet so maybe just maybe there might be some technological ruins. Or I might find someone who is just like me.I do hope I find someone who is a reincarnate just like me. Despite my concerns and issues, I have here I must say I have grown stronger and tougher too.The constant fights both Anna and Raven had with monsters help me immensely. It helped me think of mana as a
Road Through DamnationChapter 16Getting Schooled.“Drew my dear son, I have something very important to tell you.”“Please mother what is it.”‘Huff, Anna relax you gotta tell him eventually. So, just relax and disclose these information to him.’“Drew it is about your father and your bloodline.”“Okay mum, I am all ears so please go ahead with the information you wanted to tell me about my father.”“Thanks, Drew sometimes I wonder if you really are a kid. Your mannerism since birth has been one of an adult man.”“Yeah, yeah mum, this is not the first time you are telling me this so can you like get to the information you wanted to disclose.”“Okay Drew, the first information is your mother was a queen and your deceased father was a king.”“Already figured that out mom, how you always act and carry yourself makes it obvious you are royalty. So, I am not slightly surprised by this revelation.”“Drew are you really a year old?”“Yes, mom and I also need to know the other information.”
Side Story 1Trip To Circle 1.(A.N I would still use Drew as his name in his former world.)“Drew so when will you being going to Circle to swap your phone for a better one?” Kwadwo a friend of Drew asked him.“Looking at the weather now, I think going today is the best day. Afterall, I do not want to go there while it is raining cat and dogs.” Drew replied to his friend while staring at the sky. The atmosphere looked clear and devoid of any black cloud. Drew’s phone had also told him about the atmosphere at Kwame Nkrumah Circle to also have the same weather, so he was ready for his trip.“Okay fine but listen to this advice I am coming to give you.” Kwadwo said while holding Drew by the shoulder and staring him in the eye. It looked like Kwadwo was serious about what he was going to say.“Okay go on I am all ears.” Drew responded nonchalky at Kwadwo’s serious expression.“Okay listen; The first advice is do not trust anybody, everybody, and anything there. Everything you think about
Side Story 2Trip To Circle 2After laughing to his heart’s content Drew began changing for his trip to Kwame Nkrumah Circle. He chose to wear a white chase deer top and khaki shorts. He wanted to look as simple as possible and make it easy for him to ran if he fucks up along the way to the market.“Now let’s get this new Samsang S23 which has been making waves on the internet and even better I might even get a the S24 which is not out yet. Hehehe just kidding.” Drew laughed at himself for harboring such thoughts. But it also did not seem impossible because that was the magic Circle had in its possession.Drew decided to go to the market by public transport which was called ‘Trotro’ locally. Drew did not like taking such cars because the drivers did not obey basic road rules. The rule they normally broke was the don’t drink and drive rule.Drew felt, that rule was kind of a nursery rhythm for the drivers, so it was kind of considered normal when the rule was disobeyed by them. The dri
Side Story 3Trip To Circle 3Right now, Drew was walking among a plethora of different traders shouting their wares at the market. There was so, much chaos and confusion going on here. There was no system of order in this marketplace. There were traders who were shouting their wares out to entice customers, they were traders who were also dealing with their customers and there were some customers who were even fighting with the traders because they felt cheated. Cries and shouts of children could also be heard as they were played around.Surprisingly animals were also being sold here without medical authorization. It was like everyone was left to their own free will. Drew had been abroad a couple of times, so he knew that, in abroad they scrutinized the animals they allow on the market. This was to prevent spread of diseases, but it seems Ghana was indeed a free country.Drew just shook his head trying to forget all the mess in his head. He breath in deeply and continued to march onw
