Road Through Damnation

Chapter 11

So, This Is Mana 4

Drew had always found the antics of his two mothers to be funny. He found it funny because it was his first-time having parents of the same gender. He found it weird too because his culture frown on such acts, but what can he do. He was now in a new world with endless possibilities and knowledge hidden from sight. But Drew could still not shake off the feeling that his mothers were in fact the same person.

He could not prove that theory now, but he did not see it as being impossible in the distant future. He was still tired and exhausted because of the mana gathering theory he used. So, after the constant failures he got tired and feel asleep. Only to be awaken by his mothers’ arguments again.

Drew found it frustrating and unpleasant, but he decided to listen to their blabbering’s’ anyway because he was still trying to learn the language spoken in this world. After constantly listening to his parents argue among themselves during this past week. He managed to gain one useful information, and that was the language spoken here had some similarities with the English Language.

Due to his line of work in his previous life Drew had to travel a lot, so he learnt a lot of languages he deemed useful. Some of the languages he learnt were English, French, Chinese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean and a lot of local languages including Akan, Yoruba and among others.

Drew believed that to be a tyrant and devil one must learn a lot of languages to show his superiority when trading. And that helped him in his dealing and prevented him from being cheated on several occasions.

Drew after learning all these languages, understood one thing and that was every language had some similarities with each other. Because he believed humans at one point in evolution had stayed together so the art of language learning had to come from one source.

But, with the emergence of migration and civilization the language that had been passed down had become more refined and devoid of many animalistic codes. He also believed languages in their current state was due to factors such as religion, geographical reasons and a whole a lot of crab.

(A.N Guys in fact I do not know if my answer is correct or wrong. I am just an author who has a wide imagination. Please do not ask me questions, I clearly cannot answer.)

‘After studying the interactions between my two mothers, I realized that the language they spoke was a bit like English. But also had this weird combination of different languages which were Chinese, French, and Spanish put these combinations were rarely used.’ Drew thought to himself as he watched his mothers pounding themselves with their fists.

(A.N For those who do not know, English is a thief and a petty one at that. That is why, I find it hard to score high marks in my English test in school. Also, the variety of the language makes many of us who are trying to learn the language confused.)

Drew was mesmerized by the fight he was witnessing right in front of him. He knew all those punches that were thrown at each other could very well kill him, but he paid no attention to it. He was engrossed in the fight. And he did nothing to hide that excitement.

It was Drew’s first time watching a fight which used magic, so he paid rapt attention and took notes in his head. But the problem was he was watching the fight sideways which made it a bit difficult for him.

He realized that Anna and Raven had imbued themselves with mana which made their punches heavier and increased their speed to unbelievable limits. He was gaining new insights with mana and his views on how to use mana began to change.

Drew formally thought that mana had to always be used outside of a person’s body but never did he consider the thought of mana being used to increase one’s physical prowess. The fight enlightened him greatly and he could not wait to test his theories out.

Another reason Drew was so interested in the fight was because he saw the blood of both Anna and Raven. He was an enthusiastic fan of gore and made sure to always take note of such scenes.

Then it dawned on Drew blood, the transporter of the body. He knew blood was one of the most important body parts and without it a person cannot live. Drew had once tried to see if a person would stay alive if he extracted about 80% of a person’s blood over a period of 1 week. And what he saw marveled him.

He realized that the person had become so weak and tired despite Drew feeding the person with 3 meals a day. Drew also realized the person’s ass and breast had become soggy and looked dried. They were no different from deflated balls.

Drew was amazed with this discovery because the person he had used as a test subject had meaty thighs and ass with an E-cup breast to top it off before the experiment. But loss it all in a span of 1 week. Drew had indirectly found the cure for obesity.

‘So, the question now is can blood also transport mana like oxygen to other parts of the body? If the answer is yes, then let us try the mana circulation one last time.’

With that Drew closed his eyes and began taking in deep breaths, this time he focused on his blood and tried it feel it flowing through him. He began to feel the surreal feeling one has when their blood raises to extreme levels.

An example is when one is anger, it has proven that when one is in that mood the person’s heart becomes highly active there by pumping out a lot of blood giving a significant amount of strength to a person. But the excessive beating of the blood can also be detrimental to one’s health which can kill you without you knowing.

But Drew was a person who did not stress let get to him, so his blood pressure had always been normal except in case where he finds out that a person has betrayed his trust.

He was a person who hated backstabbers to his core, he hated people like that so much he felt a world without them would be good. Example of such people is the Devil. So, whenever Drew exterminated such people, he always had a smile plastered on his lips.

‘Is ok let’s get this shit done with.’ Drew closed his eyes and began to gather mana in his lungs again.

This time, with the small mana he managed to gather, he moved them quickly to his heart for fear of them disappearing into thin air.

When he moved that little amount of mana to his heart, he felt his heart pumping that mana to the various parts of his body which refreshed him.

He was glad to have proven his theory with mana. Drew knew this would certainly opened doors for future success. And he also realized his bottleneck due to his current body. Drew cursed out loudly cursing his pitiful form.

“I guess my mana storage will increase as I grow older so there is no need to stress over it.” At that moment he got a notification from the holographic panel in a seductive voice.
