Chapter 13
A DAY OUT 2
Drew was current pissed and mad because his mother had moved from place that finally had a smell of his roots. Drew also tried to understand Anna but still could not get the feeling off his chest.
He just sat on Anna’s lap and played with her hair as she waited for the settlement head to make his entrance. As they waited for the settlement head Drew stole a few glances at some of the artifacts in the room and he must say the settlement head was rich.
The room which welcomed both Anna and Drew was filled many artistic works. Some of the works were statues of the settlement head himself, paintings of himself and several carved images of monsters. The works all looked expensive, and Drew began to wonder who the settlement was?
The bed in the room also did not escape Drew’s eyesight making Drew wonder how many women the settlement head had put to bed. Drew’s mind did not venture near the thought of his mother becoming a plaything of the settlement head because he knew and understood his mother.
He knew his mother would never lower herself to that level and besides, she hated commoners. Drew would always hear his mother use worms for commoners. He had also begun to see commoners as people who did not need to stand on an equal footing with him. His mother was really changing his ideals.
The saying cut your clothes according to your sizes is a good example here. And the saying all fingers are not the same solidified his new claims and ideals. Drew himself began to accept the fact that in this life he was going to be a big asshole and he had no problem with that.
“Oh Linda, how nice of you to grace me with your presence.” A tall old man in a white straight dress opened his hands to hug Linda but got rejected right away making him put his hands down in embarrassment.
“How many times do I have to tell you do not try touching me Gabriel, I said I hate that so please do not try it ever again on me. I am not like those cheap whores you put to bed. Do not even try thinking about it in the future because it make me hate you more.” Linda said to the settlement head in a disrespectful manner.
“That is what makes you more alluring for every dick out there. Let me just taste you once please I beg you.” The settlement knelt on the floor showing how serious he was with his request.
“You disgust me old man never call me here again. Gabriel, this time I am dead serious if you call me again here. I might actually kill you out of anger and besides I am a mother now. So fucking get a life, dickhead.” Linda left the room with lightning speed after saying everything off her chest.
She was disgusted by this old man and his bold moves on her. She always wanted to vomit whenever he called her. She also did nothing to hide her disgust for him so ‘Why does he still keep coming to me?’. Linda asked herself a question she still has not been able to solve until now.
When Linda finally got out of the settlement head’s house, she decided to head toward a secluded section of the forest to see if she could gain any insight or improve upon her mana pathways. She still had not forgotten her reason for coming to this place.
She also needed some fresh air to get rid of all the suffocating air around her, without a second thought she dashed to where she envisioned in her mind.
When she got there, she sat on a rock and placed Drew on a bundle of hay she managed to snatch whilst dashing there. When she felt okay with her arrangements, she sat in a lotus position and began to circulate mana in her mana pathways.
The mana in this region was purer and clearer than anywhere Anna had been to, so she progressed much faster than she expected. She knew very soon they would find her, and she needed to prepare for such an event. So, she took her training seriously and tried not to engage in any act which would not bring improvement in her strength.
Whiles Anna circulated her mana, Drew also circulated his through his blood fusion method. He now saw blood as his main transporter of mana to each part of his both. And the prompts from the system also proved it.

This ringing dings in Drew’s head sounded like magic because it helped him gauge his strength and proved to him, he was indeed getting stronger. Both mother and son pair went on with their training until they heard a deafening roar forcing everyone up.
Anna began to release her killing intent around the vicinity she and Drew were currently at so no wild animal ventured near them. The animal who had stupidly roared instinctively knew that if it got closer to the duo, it would be dead without batting an eye.
The killing intent Anna released helped prevent any monster from approaching the mother and son pair again. This serene environment helped the mother and son pair to circulate their mana without any hindrance.
Anna sensed Drew opening his pathways by just breathing in. It was just too much for Anna because she still could not produce any explanation for Drew’s absurd growth. It felt too rush for her, and she did not like that.
She even began to wonder if her son was really a baby and not an adult in baby flesh. She glanced at Drew one last time and went back to her meditation. She knew she would eventually find out the secret to Drew’s explosive growth when he grew up.
(A.N I like to be realistic guys sorry if I offended you guys in anyway.)
After spending hours in the forest both mother and son duo went back home to freshen up and sleep. They were both exhausted and the exhausting experiences Anna was receiving from Raven did not help her at all.
She went to the bathroom with Drew and conjured a magic spell which made water wash her body and any other target decided by the spell caster. The spell was not flashy or extravagant but needed the most when one had to bath quickly.
When they were done bathing Anna dressed Drew in a white top and down and wore a white top herself. When she was done dressing, she placed Drew in the baby cradle and wished him good night. She then went to bed oblivious of her baby’s overloading thoughts.
Drew was stupefied by what he saw when he went to the bathroom with Anna.
