Chapter 20 - Learn how not to get a king provoked

"Why are you so interested in my baby?" Thomas cried, his knees almost bent to the ground as his blood shivered of fear of what was going to befall his first and only son.

"Oh? Maybe because he's too handsome, which he isn't!" Leo had a mocking smirk while staring at the baby. Meanwhile, Thomas remained silent, hoping for a miraculous situation that will save his son.

When Leo had found enough pleasure in the dreaded expression that masked Thomas's face, he went ahead to say, "Don't worry, if I wanted to hurt you or this...child! My blackest blue would have done it."

Thomas turned his horrific gaze to his side, and unbeknownst to him, the creature had long returned to the massacre it made from the villagers, "Please... Please make the -"

BOOM! Thomas was about to plead on behalf of the villagers. But suddenly a brain-jotting sound exploded into the surrounding.

Thomas turned his gaze to Leo, and to his surprise, an old man was standing in front of him.

The king had suddenly jumped on his feet when Thomas and Leo were lost in their conversations, and he did not hesitate to attack the freakishly looking man who was dazed at Thomas's saddened face.

The king, however, stood with his fist pointing at Leo who'd held it tightly. He had immediately turned pale as he gazed at his fist that was tightly subdued by Leo's almost transparent palms.

"Do you think you will easily touch me? By the way, the slightest pain will make me drop this child!" Leo was luckily, still holding the baby who'd suddenly woken from his slumber and began to cry.

Thomas felt hurt while staring at his innocent baby, who was now only a threatening means for Leo.

'I must do something!' His heart shattered into countless pieces and he began to ransack his brain for any possible solution. 'So I'll now use after... Over a year.'

Thomas then stared at his palms and the thought of him using his ability gave him goosebumps. He heaved a sigh and thereafter, wiped the dried tears from his face.

"What are you thinking about brother, remember, you have no ability!" Leo had an impolite grin as he pushed the king backward.

He gradually walked closer to Thomas, the baby still crying vigorously in his palms, "Will you like to hold this baby imp?"

Thomas threw death glares at Leo whose facial expression also did a perfect job of scaring heaven out of the little child.

Suddenly, a loud slap resounded from Leo's face as he had been smacked by Thomas who suddenly looked pleased with his actions. He took the baby from Leo's grasp and did not even hesitate to back away as he expected the worse from the latter.

"You!!" A voice echoed in Thomas's head next, his body bumped into a somewhat hot figure that stood tall, and strong on the ground.

Thomas turned around, slowly, as a chilling fear slowly excruciated from his body.

"You monster!" He almost fell to his knees in sight of the Blackest Blue, standing in front of him, with a chilling gaze that made his blood shiver.

A frown crept onto Thomas's face some seconds later while he dazed at the villagers far behind the Blackest Blue, in a scene where the terror had not seized the slightest. Strangely, there was a look-alike entity, making a prey out of the villagers.

"You're... You're.."

"A clone? You'd be dead if not for my, master." The Blackest Blue screeched at Thomas whose body got frozen with fright.

Leo jumped on his feet with a frown that vividly expressed his discontent, "You know, a younger brother should learn how not to hit his elder brother..."

Right before Leo could finish his statement, he somersaulted into the air and then fell into a black portal that appeared out of thin air.

Leo suddenly appeared in a pitch-black surrounding that was absent of the dimmest light.

"You don't mess with every village, whatever your name is!" A glowing light had suddenly appeared into the darkness and a loud voice came after that.

Leo on the other hand, could not see even his appearance as the glowing white light only illuminated itself, and zero of the surrounding.

"You could have hidden underneath this darkness when you had the chance!" Leo growled at the king whose nonchalant face could only confuse Leo. He sprinted towards the king who heaved a loud sigh, and then suddenly, a tall wall sprouted from the ground.

Unfortunately for Leo, it was already too late to react as he had already moved with his maximum speed, and therefore, bumped into the black wall.

"I own this world!" The king gave a mocking laugh as the wall buried underground once again, "I am the king of Redia. Also, I am the king of this...void."

Leo jumped on his feet, his cruel gaze fixated on the king’s arrogant features.

"All I can tell you is that your ability is too dumb to have a meaning."

"And so... Now you have bad-mouth as your almighty ability?" The king only had an evil grin that look too unfitting for his nice face.

"You..." While Leo felt powerless against the intimidation of the king, the surroundings transformed into a sunny landscape that only made a cute pout on the king's face.

"I thought any illusion from a person such as you will be scary, good weather by the way!"

The king’s once glowing figure looked normal in the sunny landscape and he immediately went into a round of applause.

Meanwhile, Leo felt like he was going to die out of frustration, and the scene transformed into a volcanic area.

"It almost feels hot in here! Just kidding." The king commented like he was giving a mere tutor, and the landscape once again transformed into a monster war arena.

Many more transformations after transformation and the king complimented the scenes, while Leo slowly grew exhausted.

The king's voice echoed into the surrounding, and his eyes looked like they were appealed by the scene, "Still not terrified."

"By the way, I'm tired of this!" The king complained before Leo could transform the surrounding, again. He raised his arms to the air, and Leo flew into the air with a pair of black jelly-like substances raising him to mid-air.

The area returned to its dark and natural appearance, and Leo did resist any of the events as he was too exhausted.

"Just one of my talents can make you this exhausted? Hah! Your ability should be overwhelming before you try to override a village."
