Chapter 19

Inside the conference room, about ten exclusive state agents and the forces of the institution occupied the leather seats, surrounding the sleek boardroom table. CEO Connor walked straight to his seat at the head of the table, facing the huge TV mounted on the wall.

“I apologize for the delay, it was a bottleneck of traffic outside,” he apologized before sitting down.

They simply nodded while some shuffled through the file in front of them.

CEO Connor cleared his throat, gaining their attention.

“First off, I want to sincerely apologize for the misconduct and the recent attack on one of our officers. I stand by my words, we have filed a lawsuit for the said inmate who caused the mi-” he was interrupted by one of the agents.
