The first exchange between Arran and the training dummy ended with Arran's loss but Arran did not think that it was an entire loss. As a probing attack, Arran felt that he had succeeded. at least now he could roughly gauge the standard of this dummy.
According to how Arran felt, he thought the dummy was most likely at the level of a veteran swordsman with twenty years of experience who had been using the sword since they were old enough to wield one.
That was where Arran judged the dummy to be in terms of its skills with the sword alone, that did not mean that its strength was only at that level.
This dummy was built with beginner Demi's in mind so naturally, its fitness level would be around that level, coupled with the fact that it was a man-made creation, Arran suspected that it had been programmed with intricate code of commands and intrinsic reactions.
