One after the other, the trio slipped inside, moving between stacks of crates as gently as they could.

The sound of voices grew louder. They spotted Marcus Kane at the center of the room, flanked by armed guards.

Carter whispered, "We take out the guards quietly. Then we corner Marcus."

Troy nodded, drawing his silenced pistol. One by one, they incapacitated the guards, their movements swift and precise.

Finally, they approached Marcus, who was seated at a table, his back to them. Troy pressed his gun to Marcus’s temple.

"Don’t move."

Marcus froze, his hands raised.

"Well, well, Reece. You’ve got guts showing up here."

Bethany stepped forward, her voice shaking with anger. "Where is Hilary? Where is my daughter?”

Marcus smirked and uttered; "Ooh!! I am shaking in my pants, wait did you think I’ll just hand her over? Rick’s paying me more than you can imagine to keep her out of your reach."

Carter slammed his fist on the table.

"We’re not leaving without her!"

Hours later, under tight security and with immense reluctance, Rick was escorted out of the prison. The trio waited in a black SUV, their faces grim as he climbed into the backseat. "Feels good to breathe fresh air again," Rick said, stretching his arms. "Now, let’s get down to business." Bethany turned to him, her eyes blazing with desperation. "Where is she, Rick?" Rick pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket and handed it to Carter. "An address… she’s being held there. But you’d better hurry. My associates aren’t exactly the patient type." Carter snatched the paper, scanning the address. "If this is a trap…" "It’s not," Rick interrupted smoothly. "I want you out of my hair as much as you want your kid back." “Well it better not be a trap, or else I will make sure you stay in jail or worse meet your untimely death regardless of the consequences.” Troy Reece uttered sternly. “Relax big guy…” Rick said, raising his hands in surrender, mockingly and added; “It's not a tra

Back at the Bentley's estate, as the roar of engines grew louder, as Logan stood in the dimly lit control room, his eyes darting between the surveillance monitors and his men who awaited orders. "Reinforce the eastern wing! And block the entrance to the dungeons," Logan barked, his tone urgent. “Malcolm knows this estate better than most of us. He’ll try to flank us from the back.” One of his lieutenants hesitated, the strain of the moment visible on his face. “Sir, we don’t have enough men to…” “I don’t care how you do it,” Logan interrupted, his glare stern, his voice cold he continued; “Just make sure that door is impenetrable!” The estate felt like it was about to cave in. Outside, the headlights of Malcolm D'Cruz’s convoy pierced the darkness, advancing like a predator stalking its prey. Logan’s fingers hovered over his communicator. “Get ready,” he murmured, his heart pounding. “This isn’t just about revenge, this is personal.” Minutes Later, Chaos erupted like a

Meanwhile, behind the cold steel bars of his prison cell, Malcolm D’Cruz was cursing and upset. Though he had been convicted, his influence hadn’t been entirely extinguished. His loyalists worked tirelessly from the shadows. One night, Malcolm received a message smuggled into his cell it was a scrap of paper with a single line: “The serpent waits. The garden wilts.” A slow smile spread across his face, it turns out he understood perfectly what that meant and it gave him satisfaction. Meanwhile at the Bentley's estate, Garry knew the estate couldn’t hold out forever. The Jaguar Syndicate had kept the peace, but their resources were stretched out too thin. Desperately, Garry reached out to an unlikely ally, someone who had beef to settle with the D'Cruz family. ‘The enemy of my enemy is my friend’ that goes the saying. Her name is Isabella, the dangerous leader of the Crimson Vipers, which was a rival syndicate with its own score to settle against Malcolm. “You’re asking me

In a few hours, a black SUV screeched to a halt outside the estate. The door opened, and Logan stepped out, unsteady but alive. A jagged scar ran along his jawline, and his movements were slow, but his eyes burned with the fire of a man who had cheated death. Two of his men rushed to his side. “Sir, you shouldn’t be here but in the hospital.” “I’m exactly where I need to be,” Logan said, his voice shaky but firm, he uttered; “Now get me inside.” Word spread like wildfire: Logan is back. Patricia who had just came from the hospital for the check up of her unborn child, found out that Logan was home. She immediately ran to him and hugged him excitedly. “I knew you wouldn't leave me, I knew you won't leave me all alone in this world.” “I would never, you and I are going to be together forever, till death do us part.” Logan retorted as he kissed her gently on the lips. “Why are you in the study, you should be resting you are yet to recover fully.” “For months I have been bed

As Logan exited the prison, the chill of the outside felt like a slap on his face. He stood for a moment, inhaling deeply, grounding himself. Garry was waiting by the SUV, with concern all over his face. “How did it go?” Garry asked, opening the door for Logan. Logan slid into the seat and stared out of the window, his expression unreadable. “Exactly as I expected. Malcolm is a shadow of the man he used to be… angry, desperate, clinging to a fantasy that’ll never come true.” Garry got in beside him, the SUV rolling forward. “But desperate men are dangerous, Logan. You know that better than anyone.” Logan turned to Garry, his gaze sharp. “I know. But desperation also blinds them. Malcolm will make mistakes, and when he does, we’ll be ready.” The ride back to the estate was quiet, the thoughts of the confrontation still lingering in his thoughts. When they arrived, Patricia was waiting at the entrance. Her face lit up with relief as she saw Logan step out. “You’re back,” she

The sight of her peaceful face, with her golden curls, was a reminder of all the blessings they had. Walking hand-in-hand back to their room, Elizabeth turned to Liam. "Do you ever wonder what the future holds for us?" Liam smiled, his eyes shining softly he uttered gently; "Honey, I don’t have to wonder. I know it’ll be full of love, laughter, and everything we’ve built together." Elizabeth’s gaze softened. "You always know just what to say, you are amazing." "That’s because I mean it," Liam said, pulling her close. "Our story is just beginning, Elizabeth. And I can’t wait to write the next chapter with you all over again." Months later, while Troy was shopping at a bookstore, never in a million years did he think that something of that sort would happen. I guess fate does have a way of doing things, it intervened. When he was picking up a book written by a well known author, to be inspired, he subconsciously turned a corner and what he saw made him freeze. It was a familiar figure, one he knew too well, it was Elizabeth, his ex-wife. She (Elizabeth) stood near the children's section, holding little Hope’s hand while selecting a picture book. She looked as radiant as ever, her laughter filling the air as she spoke to her daughter, admiring her from the sidelines made him miss the life, they both shared. He just stood there smiling as she really is a great mother. While staring, Hope's eyes darted towards him but she didn't think much of it and she tugged at her mother's hand; “Can we get this one, Mommy?” she asked, holding up a brightly colored book. “Of course, sweetheart,” Elizabeth replied

As the night grew deeper, the table emptied, leaving only Logan, Alexander, Seraphina, and Udinov nursing their drinks. Patricia had gone to check on a renovation project upstairs, giving Logan a rare moment alone with his children. He leaned forward, resting his arms on the table. “You’re all too busy.” Seraphina smirked. “That’s rich, coming from you.” Logan chuckled. “I know. But when was the last time you all sat like this? No boardrooms, no deals, no strategies?” None of them answered and then Logan sighed. “You were raised to be strong, to command, to win. But power without family means nothing.” Alexander exhaled, rubbing his temples. “You’re getting sentimental here, Dad.” “Maybe,” Logan admitted and continued; “Or maybe I just don’t want you three to lose what I fought so hard to build, which was not the empire, but this.” Alexander tapped the rim of his glass. “And what exactly is this?” Logan looked at them, they were his legacy, his greatest creations, he utt

There were unspoken words between them For years, Troy had imagined this very moment when he would talk to his son in person again, he had rehearsed apologies in the quiet of his guilt, whispered confessions into thin air, but now, standing before his son, no words seemed enough. Ethan’s fists clenched at his sides, his expression unreadable. There was hesitation in his eyes, a war between the hurt of abandonment and the reluctant gratitude he couldn’t ignore. The weight of Troy’s absence had shaped him in ways no one would hope for, but then the knowledge that his father had, in his own way, protected him from Arthur’s threats, from a darkness Ethan never fully understood. Troy’s worst fear was confirmed when he saw the back door wide open. 'Oh no, no no…’ Troy thought. His blood went ice cold as he couldn't hear any sound, he walked gently into the house. “Amelia!” he shouted, but no one answered, there was silence. Then suddenly, there was a thud from upstairs. Troy moved fast, taking the stairs two at a time. Ethan followed, his heart pounding. The bedroom door was locked, but Troy kicked it open, his eyes widened. What he saw made him freeze, Amelia was there. A man in black had her, one arm wrapped tightly around her throat, the other holding a knife to her stomach.
