CHAPTER THIRTY NINE

As Logan returned to his duties in the canteen, there was an undeniable shift in the atmosphere among the other workers. It was as if an unspoken tension hung in the air, and some of his co-workers seemed to be avoiding him. Whispers and glances followed him as he moved about the canteen, but Logan paid it no mind.

He knew that it was better for his peers to fear him than to trample upon him as they had in the past. The newfound confidence he had gained from his encounter with the biker gangster had given him a sense of authority that was hard to ignore.

Even when his boss returned to the canteen, he couldn't help but notice Logan's unusual demeanor. The boss, a middle-aged man with a perpetual scowl, observed Logan as he served customers their meals, his face lit up with an uncharacteristic happiness.

The boss approached Logan, raising an eyebrow. "Logan, what's gotten into you today? You're practically glowing. Is this a new approach to customer service?"
