Her name is Lilia
And she is female Zesionien from a planet in the twenty first sector called Zesion?
Yeah, I know, she isn’t a demon. What did you expect? A succubus wearing a white dress? Those creatures like to wear dominatrix style black clothes. Besides this place is a little too comfortable to call it hell. And although she has horns, she feels more like the serious and surprisingly innocent type.
She is an alien and as it seems, I’m on a planet in the twenty first sector called Gorgola.
Just as I thought, this isn’t the typical fantasy setting. One thing to be thankful for though is that even if this is a sci-fi setting the girls are probably as cute as Lilia here. No, I doubt there are that many that could live up to her looks. She’s many levels above what I used to consider an extremely attractive girl.
Maybe God doesn’t hate me after all. To think that instead of the ugly western style works were most alien species are uglier than humans, I got sent to a world closer to the way Japanese anime do things.
Gorgeous blond chick that blushes innocently when seeing your privates and doesn’t act like a total bitch? Sign me in!
Among the questions she asked me before were a few I misinterpreted. When she asked what I am she was referring to my specie.
Of course I had no idea what that place we were in is or what was its purpose. Then there is the last question, how do we get out of here? At first I thought she was talking about the room we were in, but after she confirmed that I had no hostility toward her she guided me outside.
We were in a deep floor of an underground construction. I can’t say how large it is but with how many floors we passed before reaching the surface and the fact that there were more below I could say it was quite the large building.
Climbing the stairs was exhausting. I had those muscles on me but I couldn’t keep up with my guide who didn’t have any trouble.
One good thing about this part is that I got to observe her plump looking lower back as I followed behind her, even though her long hair was in the way. She would sometimes look back at me so I had to be careful not to get caught, not to mention that with nothing but the cloak on I was walking with that stiffness out in the open the entire time.
Maybe I am a pervert after all.
We reached the surface after twenty minutes or so. If I had to describe the scene in front of me by one word it would be majestic.
Pillars piercing the heavens in every direction, boulders scattered and rays of light leaking between giant leaves high above our heads. When I asked Lilia told me the sun is still up, but with the “Polola trees” all around it’s usually this dark even during the day.
The Polola trees from what I understood are those giant pillars. They are about twice as large as the sequoia trees in California, however, unlike the sequoia these have a smoother outer surface and their leaves were the size of an adult male.
A really large muscular adult male. Whenever one was in the way Lilia would poke it with her knife spear thing then shove it aside. Apparently there are some beast types that use those as camouflage so as a general rule you had to be very careful not to step on them without checking first.
After walking for about a half hour we arrived at what I could call the largest Polola up until now. Lilia sat on one of the rocks buried near its roots, put aside her spear and took out a small box from her bag. Inside it were about ten rectangular gray colored bars. Lilia put one in her mouth and passed another to me saying
“Here” she took a bite then added “eat, we got a long way ahead of us”
Suddenly I was forced to acknowledge the existence of the hunger I was ignoring all this time. I had mixed feelings about trying alien food but what choices did I have? I took one bite of the gray bar and recognized the taste almost instantly. Cookies. It tastes like cookies. Well, more like the sweet calorie bars I used to consume. Too much for my first meal in another world.
“Hm?” Lilia noticed the displeased expression I’m probably making “is it your first time eating these?”
“Nah, I’m quite familiar with this type of food” you don’t get to eat proper meals if you’re glued to a screen the whole day.
“Well, it’s just an emergency ration so nothing to do about it” she took another bit then went on “it has enough energy units to keep you going, it also contains a lot of dry water so you won’t feel thirst for a while”
While my mind was occupied trying to process what she meant by dry water Lilia chewed the last bite and stood up taking out something else from her bag.
“The terrain changes a little going forward, it would be dangerous to go on with bare legs”
Looking around her for a moment she picked a small Polola leaf from the ground, tore it into two then fold each part before placing it on the ground again.
“Step on it for a moment”
I did as she said. The folded pieces were about the same size of my feet. Just when I started wondering what’s their purpose Lilia crouched down in front of me and put the thing she took out at a short distance from my feet then pressed on its top.
It started spraying some kind of foam covering my legs half way up to my knees. In a few seconds the foam turned to a thick and soft sponge like layer. With the folded leaf as the soles I obtained makeshift boots.
What a convenient tool. It somewhat reminds me of that one movie where it rains burgers.
“Um …thanks.”
“It’s supposed to be a first aid spray for damaged bones, but it’s easier to remove since it would expire soon.” She said, placing the can back in her bag “not using it would be a waste.”
I felt a little embarrassed having the girl take care of all my needs like this all while being naked under a cloak. This surely would turn to a memory that would hunt me for the rest of my life.
Speaking of memories I think it’s about time I start remembering something I could actually use instead of random useless information.
I’m freaked by the fact that I have yet to feel what one is expected to feel in this kind of situation. I don’t even remember my name and yet here I’m acting like it doesn’t matter. I have this feeling that I know who I am, but when I try to recall I just can’t.
“Hey, it’s time to move.” said Lilia as she started walking.
Man, she is really beautiful…
Right, right. Back to the main topic.
I thought I still have the memories from my previous life, but that doesn’t appear to be case. I don’t know how useful they would be since this is a sci-fi setting with advanced technology, but I would feel more comfortable with knowing at least my name. Not that it’s bothering me that much.
The alien invasion and the day it occurred. The detailed are somewhat foggy but that’s all I remember with the exception of useless trivia. Am I really going to be okay? I don’t think I care. If this is an alternate world then I can just start a new life.
And look, I already met my own heroine! A blond beautiful girl with horns and a giant weapon. I think I’m going to be fine.
From the world tree -the largest Polola we met so far- onward we walked three hours straight. No breaks, no small talk, just walking and walking. The weeds growing everywhere appear to have sharp pebbles hidden among them. Walking barefooted in such environment could be lethal.
Three hours later we arrived at a spot with much less vegetation. The open area between the trees was circular with about two hundred meters in diameter. Some of the tree at the edge were broken and the grass was shorted near the center where it lays.
Lilia’s space craft.
Sector twenty one, planet Gorgola, Lilia’s space craft. By the time we sat down around the camp fire the sun was on it’s way out. A few minutes earlier my stomach started roaring. Surprised by the loud noise Lilia proposed we eat first. Today’s dinner is going to be the rations from earlier and left over soup she cooked yesterday. It’s red in color and tastes like tomato so I’m naming it tomato soup. We sat around the campfire eating silently, but when we were done it was back at the awkwardness we experienced on the way here. I looked back at her ship. It was clear from the crater beneath it that it had a harsh landing. Its body-shell and windshield don’t look to be in best condition, even someone with no experience would say it’s incapable of flight. When I asked Lilia about it as an attempt to trigger a conversation she told me the engine is damaged and it’s impossible to take off.
Sector twenty one, plane Gorgola, Lilia’s space craft. Although it looks quite small from the outside, the craft's interior is comparatively spacious. It’s clean and well organized, you wouldn’t be wrong to think it was assembled recently. In fact it’s too clean for something that crash landed from space. How is this thing still intact? “I will make something for you to wear.” Lilia said as she walked to the back. “You can’t sleep like that, right?” “That’s… something we can agree on.” I’ve been walking around like a pervert for a few hours now. I don’t want to ruin her impression of me any further. “The night is cold too, you don’t want to get sick.” In one of the corners was a glowing ring about two feet in diameter. She pointed at it and told me to get inside. “Stand here, then take that off.” Not like this, a w
Sector twenty one, Planet Gorgola, Lilia’s space craft. After I was done with the shower Lilia began scanning my body looking for any abnormalities. The tube like space was no simple shower room. It has the ability to apply a full body scan and detect any type of foreign bodies or internal injuries. So that’s what the boiling water was about.. I told myself as I came to that realization. You don’t know what germs and microbes might be sticking to something you found on an uninhabited planet. Better sanitize it just to be safe. I guess that’s another reason as to why she kept her distance from me. Definitely not because I smelled nasty. The scan also took my measurements. Apparently the ship has yet another sci-fi device that could make clothes out of raw materials you could collect outside, and super high quality at that. Basically it
After I was done with my business, I covered it with some dirt and walked back to the ship. Of course, I didn’t forget to wash my hands. The water did sting a bit though. The sanitizer mixed in it must’ve been a rather strong one.Lilia was preparing to go out. She said the morning is the time she uses to gather fruits, since the most dangerous beasts are still asleep. When I asked why she doesn’t store some instead of gathering them everyday she explained that she does that only when making the rations.Apparently, despite being an uncharted, Gorgola has animals and vegetation that could be found on other planets. One theory is that most of them were brought here during the attempts to study the planet, which ended up in failure before they could even start. But seeing how there is that lab she found me in it’s more reasonable to blame it on the ones who built it.Anyway,
About an hour passed before Lilia returned. In her hands she held what looked like a combination of huge watermelon and an apple. “Umm… what is that?” Lilia looked at me, then at the watermelon apple fruit, then at me again. “This? According to the catalog it’s a papaya.” She said with a straight face. That doesn’t look anything close to a papaya if you ask me. “… it seems… different from what I remember.” I commented, still trying to understand what part of that was the papaya. “Really? The first time I saw a real one was when I came here.” She walked over to where I stood then handed me the papaya? fruit. “It can’t be eaten like this so we have to cook it fir-” she suddenly came to a stop and glared at me “you reek.” And just like that I was forced to shower again. My clothes were washed and dried on the spot as well. We began preparing lunch immediately after. I gathered the wood for the fire, careful not to
“Eh!!? You don’t remember anything!!” Lilia’s reaction when I told her about my lost memory was… surprise to say the least. Her eyes went wide as she covered her open mouth with both her hands. “Well, there are things that I remember but…” scratching the back of my head I couldn’t help but look down. “Most of it isn’t of much help.” “You don’t remember your name?” She asked “No.” “And where you are from?” “Not a clue.” “Any people you were close to? Your family or a friend or…” “No one comes to mind.” “What do you remember then?” “hmm…” I looked up to the sky and thought about it for a moment. “I remember that it was a really bad day… and that I almost got killed… oh, and I can recognize my face too.”
“Ugh…I don’t know why I’m asking now but… what the hell happened here?”“Who knows.” Lilia said as she bravely walked across the room. “There are no signs of struggle. Maybe they starved to death?”“Yeah, that I know. But… why?”Eight days have passed since I woke up. We were back inside the ruins, in the room where we first met to be exact. It’s a good place to be in if you are a fan of skeletons. Lilia has been putting off the exploration for a while to watch over me but after much effort and a lot of pain I managed to convince her to go together. The room didn't change much. Of course it didn't. Broken pods were lined up on one side, most of them broken. Shattered glass littered the floor, together with a bunch of tubes and cables that led to who knows where. Thin roots forced their way in from the ceiling while dark green moss grew on the walls. The mos
Sector twenty one, planet Gorgola, the lab ruins.“Um… uh… are you alright?“Yeah, I don’t think so…”We had to cut the ruin exploration short after arriving to the next floor. That was the part where things got really ugly. Not that long ago I was looking at eight dead, fleshless sets of bones and all I thought was 'man those graphics look sick'.It wasn't the normal reaction a sane human being would have when confronted by real life skeletons, but as I thought about it I realized that I have seen and heard a lot of not so normal things in succession for the past few days. My perception of reality isn’t in the best of conditions. As we walked through the woods Lilia quickened her pace to catch up with me.“I understand how you feel, bu
