Chapter 19: Dark mansion (Part 6)

A dark being has appeared. He can use spells. Therefore, his not an ordinary monster or demon. I need to be extra careful with him.

I still can’t forget my first battle with a dark being Minotaur before. I’m still inexperienced, one wrong move, or else I’m dead.

I feel a bit frightened as I grip my sword.

Stop thinking like that, that's not what Koyuki-san told me. I need to be more optimistic and think smart before attacking.

"Dark wind blade!"

The wind blade release in his scythe immediately cuts the floor.

Incredible power, that thing is surely more powerful than my wind blade.

"Take this--!!"

Yumi rushed herself and use the hammer to attack Guslus, but Guslus immediately block the hammer attack with his arm.

"... Iron hard skins?"

Yumi immediately step back and made a distance away from Guslus.

Then Taki makes her move.

"Sound skill: Blast tone!"

"Dark barrier!"

A magical barrier envelopes his body making him immune to sound skill.

Guslus charges toward the use of his Scythe to attack Taki and Yumi. Slashed cut’s Yumi and Taki but it barely wounded them and just leave a small cut on their body.

"Taki! Yumi!"

I shouted.

"Don't worry you're next... .. Dark Air force!"

I was pressed down in the ground with intense wind pressure.

After that, Guslus suddenly felt something cut on his body without him knowing.

"My eyes are cut?! How the hell that happened?!"

Before I was pressed down in the ground I used my wind blade to targeting his eyes.

While Guslus lost its sense of sight. Yumi takes to opportunity and dashed toward him. Putting her palm on Guslus chest. Yumi released a shock of electricity.

"How dare you do that to my first friend... Thundershock!"

Guslus was electrocuted and was then fallen into paralyzed status. A critical hit by Yumi. After that, she was followed by Taki's magic chant.

"Sound skill: Cheer tone--!!"

Cheer tone - is a type of skill that enhances the physical body of the target or user.

Taki’s body was enveloped by a light that strengthens her physical body. With the dagger in her right hand, she slashed the neck of the demon.

"So hard..."

Even with Taki’s body enhanced with Magic. Cutting through the demon's thick skin was hard.

Guslus widen his wings and started to flap. Creating a heavy gust of winds. The gust was so heavy it knocks back the three of us away from him.

"Wind fogged!"

Steam of fog was released on Guslus body. Leaving no trace of his presence.

I tried to use my presence detection skill, but It’s of no use. His ability to compress his presence. This fog is making him hard to catch.

I thought we already make the winning move, but I think this fight will gonna be tough.

"Dark wind cutter."

Wind blade started to fly over to our different directions. The three of us manage to avoid the wind magic. Without noticing Guslus appeared behind my back. He swings his scythe targeting my neck.

I turned my body around and risen my blade. Deflecting his scythe. I decided to blast him with my wind magic.

"Wind skill: Air force!"

The explosion-like wind from my sword made the fog go away.

"Wind... Fog... I think I get it... I got a plan."

I started to remember the things Kouki said while I'm having a battle with her in Witchport.

She said my attack can cut them easily and it's not normal, even for a magic sword. My sword has the ability to cut through demons easily. The proof of this is when Taki used her enhanced dagger earlier. Her blade didn’t make it. But my sword can break through its thick skin.

"Sorry, Laura but I can't trust someone in a battle concerning life and death. I don't know what is your plan but I have my own plan for myself... Sound skill: Tone of encouragement."

Taki said, She then change and continue to battle.

The tone of encouragement - is a skill that makes users physically able to unbelievable heights. It grants a speed as fast as sound and overwhelming physical power.

"Sound skill: Blast tone!"

Distracting the demon with the blast tone. Taki made it in front of him and kick his face as powerful as she can.

Guslus was knocked back and frightened by what he just felt.

"This is nearly unbelievable... How the hell a kid like you able to beat someone whos a hundred years older. This just makes no sense."

"That's right it makes no sense... Sound skill: paralyzed tone."

"That's not going to work!"

Taki used her paralyze tone to immobilized Guslus and take the opportunity to make a clean punch.

"Since five years old I'm always alone... I'm always alone practicing every day to perfect my skills. You might be hundred years older than me but my effort is hundred years ahead of you."

"Shut up... Already... Dark air force-!!"

Air force pushed Taki away and slammed her body to the wall.

"You're tone is so annoying? You should just die!"

Guslus rushes himself to Taki with bloodlust on his face.

But before Guslus was able to reach Taki. Yumi throws her hammer to Guslus head. Creating a fracture on its head.

"The pink-haired girl... Wait the other one where is she?"

Guslus was then confused and turned dizzy for the moment. Being not able to sense direction. He turned his sight around and search for me.

Behind him, I started charging my magic on my sword.

"I'm right here! Wind skill: Air force!"

I slashed him down to the ground with my wind force.

It's not as great as his wind force but at least I'm able to deal damage with him.

After taking my magic attack, Gustus immediately stands up, and Yumi charges in to buy more time for me.

"Taki stop doing things alone… You might be alone before but now you're absolutely not alone. We're here to fight together. Let's make a great team and defeat that guy already."

"... But I..."

Taki muttered and averted her eye’s away from me.

Looks like she is someone who can’t trust people easily. It’s kind of normal in this unforgiving world. I can’t just give up on Taki. I need her in this situation.

I walked toward her and held her hand.

"Taki trust me this time, we will definitely succeed this... Look at my eyes."

"You're eyes are too innocent..."

I try my best to convince her.

"Trust me... Let's trust each other okay."

She nodded her head and agree on assisting me.

Yumi who's doing her best to distract Gustus makes a step back and distance again.

"Did you convince that stupid girl?"

Asked Yumi.

"Yes, she agrees in my favor."

Together with Yumi we both step forward and look to our opponent.

"Then, All we need to do now is just to execute the plan."

We make a big smile on our faces and charge toward the demon at the same time.

“Dark wind force!”

"Wind force!"

Our wind forces collide with each other and make a small cyclone.

I used too much energy and mana to make it equal like the wind force he releases.

I already make an opening... Now it's up to Taki and Yumi.

I gave my sword to Yumi and Taki cast her cheerful tone toward Yumi.

"I don’t like you creepy Yumi..."

"Same here, I don't like you…"

"... But Since Laura asked us, I guess we don't have another choice." 2x

They said together.

The team is supposed to help each other. With our team play, we’re going to make it.

With Yumi's extraordinary speed combine with my sword. She easily cut the dark being's body in half.

"I get it now... That sword... That sword can easily cut through my body. I remember that white sword before.… That white sword is wielded by her…"

Before Gustus finished his sentence he burned and vanished to thin smoke.

Hearing Gustus's last word. I started thinking about it. What kind of past this sword had? I don’t want to think too much about it. The important thing is that we made it and we defeated the monster on our own.

Yumi gives the sword back to me. The floor started to crack open and creepy hands started to grabbed our bodies.

"Not again!”

"This hands again."

The creepy hands dragged us to a different room in the mansion.

"Wind skill: Wind blade!"

I cut the hands grabbing our body. Our body and fell to the ground.

"Ouch."

"My butt hurts."

In the time, we think we won the battle another disaster show itself.
