Chapter seven

Gunther's hands were clenched, surging swiftly towards her as he held tightly to her scrub.

"How dare you throw my mother away as though she is some piece of trash?" He fired under his breath.

If there was anything to him. Be could take it but treating his mother who raised him as though she was nothing, was something that he could not bear.

His hands were clenched with anger and his teeth gritted as he continued to stare right into her eyes.

For the first time since they met, Jenifer was scared of Gunther as she never thought he could be this aggressive.

"Why am I even afraid? He is in the hospital and this place is more like my territory. There is absolutely nothing that he can do to me." She muttered under his breath with a frown.

Jennifer pulled Gunther off from her body swiftly, bracing herself up.

"You can't do anything to me, Gunther. Or whatever it is that you are called. Go get your trash off from the corridor."

"Call my mother trash again and I am going to make sure that you pay for it. Just dare it." Gunther growled

Jenifer was afraid to spit out the words from her mouth as she was frightened that she was going to do something harmful to her.

Soon, the pattern of feet walked into the place, and staring up, he noticed that it was the doctor

With a Swift dash, Jennifer moved swiftly towards her, hiding behind her back as though Gunther was some monster.

"What's going on here? I thought you prepared this place already." Doctor. Joy inquired.

"I would have been done if not for that beast. He insists that his mother must stay even though he doesn't have to pay.

And he even threatened to harm me." Jennifer added.

A twist of a frown appeared on the doctor's face almost immediately as she shot a stare in Gunther's direction.

"What do you consider this place? A charity organization? We buy the stuff that we use." The frown on her face deepened.

Gunther's face was laced with surprise at Jennifer's lies as he never thought that she was going to stoop this low.

He Walked gradually towards Jennifer who stepped backwards and after a while, he paused.

"And you are going to believe those lying lips of hers?" Was the first word that he sprouted out of his mouth.

Doctor. Joy was confused as she didn't know who or what to believe anymore.

"What are you talking about?"

Gunther brought his wristwatch closer to her face and said.

"I still have thirty minutes before renewal. Who said I could not do that before? But before then, she had already pushed my mother away.

Is that how professional this hospital has become?" He frowned.

Doctor Joy could not believe these words making her turn around towards Jennifer.

"You told me that he said he would not be able to afford a renewal. What's going on now?" She. Inquired further staring right into Jennifer's eyes as though she was searching for the truth in them.

"Just look at him, doctor. Does he look like someone that will be able to afford it? He is just trying to make a scene I tell you. And there is nothing more to it.

Even at that, his last payment was gotten from charity and he could hardly sum up the money to pay for it." She added further.

Even though the doctor believed every single bit of what she just said, she could not help but get angry at Jennifer.

"You know our policy to always give patients chances to make their renewal. And if they are not able to, further requirements follow suit.

# Why did you suddenly decide to take laws into your own hands?" Her voice was laced with so much anger.

"But. Doc. Joy. I am sure that you get it." She was about to say but the doctor waved her hands, preventing her from spitting out another word from her mouth.

"Not another word from you. You didn't have the right to do what you did and that was it." She growled.

Soon, Gunther could hear his mother coughing loudly from the corridor as he said.

"If anything happens to my mother. I am going to make sure that you pay for this and regret it for the rest of your life." Gunther growled, storming off from the place to get his mother.

Her bed was lying helplessly in the corridor and the sight of it made his face blow up with anger.

"Fool. I am going to make sure that you pay for this." Gunther growled under his breath.

He gradually pulled his mother swiftly to the doctor who seemed to be muttering words with Jennifer.

Immediately they sensed his aura, they paused, turning around swiftly towards him.

Gunther could already sense the wave of tension that was going on between them but what he could not tell was what exactly was wrong.

"Is there a problem?" He quickly inquired.

The doctor moved closer towards him and finally summoned the courage that she had in her to say.

"You have to take your mother somewhere else." She finally said.

But nothing in what she said made any sense to him. "I don't understand. What are you trying to say? What's going on?" He inquired further.

"I'm trying to say that this space is already booked and there is no space for your mother anymore." She finally came clean.

Gunther could perceive the dark smile that was hovering around Jennifer's lips but he solely ignored it, focusing all his attention on the doctor.

"What do you mean there is no space for my mother and I will have to take her somewhere else. The both of us already know that this is the only place that can treat her ailment in the whole of the city." He added.

The doctor shook her head multiple times. "I'm sorry but there is absolutely nothing that I can do about it."

"This was the last space but it's all a book now. Apart from?" She paused suddenly, pushing the thoughts away from her head.

But it was too bad that Gunther already heard the words.

"Never mind." She threw the words away as swiftly as they came but Gunther held on tightly to them.

"Apart from?" He added, with desperation in his eyes.

The doctor sighed, knowing that she would have to go ahead to explain exactly what she met with Gunther's current.

"Apart from a billion VVIP sections. That was once created for the president of multiple oil-rich countries.

Ever since it has not been booked by anyone since no one can afford it in the country." Doctor Joy added as another slight sigh escaped from her lips.

"So you see. There is nothing that I can do for you." The doctor added once again, shaking her head.

"I'm sorry."

"I will advise that you get your sick mother going already. That's if you want to prolong her life." Jennifer sounded as though the old lady was as good as dead already.

Gunther quickly shot a glare at her that almost threw her off balance but she was able to hold herself back before making it to a fall.

Afterward, he turned around towards the doctor and said,

"I'm going to purchase the space. Whatever it is that is going to get my mother treated." He finally said.

The both of them in the room were shocked by the words that he just spat out from his mouth.

"What. Have you gone mad already? An explanation came afterward."
