Marco was left to his thinking. Cassius allowed the pending silence dominated their conversation, leaving his grandson to flat out his thoughts.

A minute ticked by, and a deep sigh emanated from Marco’s throat. He cleared his throat.

“I have something very important to discuss with you about today,” Marco started, although conflicted on how he’d table the discussion.

He commended his bravery for standing up against the hatred leveled against him down when he was introduced to the family, and how his idea of countering the enemies coming for him was to hide away and let someone else do the job.

Doesn’t look very notable, but he was still going to say it.

“So……..”

Marco went on narrating to Cassius how it began, from himself visiting his new home and his encounter with the hired assassin.

No detail was singled out, how he escaped the assassin and developed the idea of pursuing his lie to the assassin and drawing out his enemies.
