Chapter 48“Apologies Young Master, but I have to go. We surely would talk about this tomorrow.” Before Marco said anything, Anders ended the call, cutting the line. Marco groaned, leaping off the bed to go check out who was knocking on his door. Upon pulling on his knob, he came face to face with Jacob who instantly lowered his head at his sight. “Good evening, Young Master. I hope I wasn’t intruding anything before knocking, I was informed about your questions on my whereabouts so I decided to come let you know I’m back Incase you have an urgent task for me to carry out.” He sentenced in one breath, as though he was pitching a presentation. “Yeah,” Marco nodded as he stepped out of his room. “Excuse me,” he said so Jacob would realize he’s blocking his path. He came out after his path was cleared, “I have something to discuss with you. So let’s walk the house. I couldn’t tell my mom all that was going on with me, because even if I request her to keep it a secret, chances are
Chapter 49By the time I woke up it was all better, the pain had vanished and I was feeling like myself again. This recently started happening to me, about three months ago when a weird scar printed out on my shoulder. It was a light faded scar, taking the shape of a complete full moon, but different colored. At the first stage defined by a convex and a concave edge, basically a crescent was colored in black, while the remaining part was yellow. I had no idea where the scar or tattoo came from, but it appeared overnight. And I would have shared the eerie details with my mother, but she was busy falling in love with the Alpha King. Guards from the palace were currently parading the home I grew up, moving us out to relocate into the palace. The wedding was to hold tomorrow, and today was going to be the preparation as well as our relocation. I woke up passed out on my bed, and knocks banging on my door. Opening my door, three of the guards trooped in telling me to excuse as they
Chapter 50I spend the rest of yesterday in my room. Mulling over my encounter with the Alpha King, and unable to shake down what went down between us. The scene effortlessly replayed in my head, how he came into my room, used weird powers on me and thought he wiped my memory. I deduced he was looking for something, on my body or something. Perhaps a mark, or a mysterious tick. My scar! My mysterious scar! Was that what he was looking for? I doubt though, because the scar was visible and large on my shoulder, and he looked everywhere without seeing anything like it. Unless he just couldn’t, maybe the scar faded out for his sight. Today was here, and the preparing for the wedding was ongoing. My maids were with me trying to fit into some luxurious gown perfect for the occasion.“Wouldn’t the Alpha invite his sons, they should at least be here to know who killed their mother to marry their father.” One of the maid working with me voiced out audibly, knowing damn well I could hear
Chapter 51I couldn’t tell my mom all that was going on with me, because even if I request her to keep it a secret, chances are she’s blabbering it out to her soon to be husband. Can be willingly or forcefully, judging the said husband is one shady man. I found my way to palace hall, and the wedding is even yet to start. Listened to the conversations flying around to realize that it is until the day’s evening, words are the Alpha King is waiting for his sons. There was nothing much to do, I volunteered to help decorate the hall but I was casted aside. I whirled away, deciding to take a stroll through the whole palace. I walked out to the hallway, strolling downwards and with no idea of destination in mind. I kept walking down, walking past numerous doors to different rooms. A lot of rooms are surely in here, damn! Does this palace housed like the whole pack’s citizens. I was nearing the corner that would have me branching right when I overheard voices, two voices not one. Curiosi
Chapter 52Jacob of course heard him clear and well, but still assumed he heard wrong. “Huh?” His brows furrowed, perplexity growing into his face. Marco knew his statement was simply plain, with no explication for him to understand what he meant and trying to discuss. “What I’m about to request for might be really hard for you to do, but just today when I arrived here. I found out someone was trying to kill me. Not me, but the Young Master that is me. I however, lied to the assassin that I’m just his worker, and that the Young Master wasn’t around.“He wanted to kill me, but I outsmarted him and before I could get words out of him on who wanted me dead, he escaped. Meanwhile I told him I work for, Young Master Nico. And it’s only going to be a matter of time before he report to his boss and they’d tracking Young Master Nico down, only to find out he’s not real and goes by Marco instead. So I need you to impersonate my identity, and be the Young Master Nico they’re going to look fo
Chapter 53“Fine, Young Master. I will do it, in as much as you promised me safety. I’m willing to actually make sure you’re alright.” He once again butted into Marco’s pattering, but giving a different response than expected by him this time. “Oh no you shouldn’t worry, you should go rest up. Tomorrow is going to be a hectic day for us. Forget I called you here to talk about anything like this. Goodnight.” Marco purposely dead the conversation even after he’s agreed. He went on turning his back and walking out of his presence, returning to his room where he locked his door. “Ah shit!” He cussed out in frustration. ‘Life doesn’t have to be this frustrating honestly, judging with the hell I’ve been through.’ He soliloquized as he walked back to his bed. That night when Anders walked in with his men, saving his dying ass from those gangsters. After which he revealed to him his true identity, and how he doesn’t have to break a sweat anymore before getting anything he wants. He just
Chapter 54Moments lapsed, and Marco retired for the night. Wagging deep into slumber, he has no idea the misery that awaits his morning. ~~~~~~~~~~ Lighted with a dimmed glow, the office was hazy in vision. Inside sat a man, and in between this man’s hand was a well wrapped tobacco; lighted as he slowly smoked in the particles, exhaling through his nostrils. His appearance blended into the scenery, hiding away his face and identity. The door pushed open and a guy was pushed in. It was the guy who tried assassinating Marco when he arrived at his mansion. He appeared battered however, under the bleary vision, bruises and cuts were visible on his face, and his clothing has been torn with red painting mashing up the outfit’s allure. He was pushed to his knees, and his lips quivered in fear, obvious with the fear eating deep into his soul and almost shattering his inside. He had not only failed his task to kill the Young Master as soon as he arrived, he faltered miserably by also

But decided against it, and believed it’s best discussed physically when Marco comes the next morning and to finalize himself stepping in as the new chairman of his family’s consortium and the CEO. It was night time already, he should be sleeping. But news dropped in from his men late, and he’s still couldn’t believe what was shared with him. He received the evidences already, Incase Marco tried to deny or defer any of his words to him tomorrow about the truth. Anders felt tasty, deciding to visit the cellar and treat himself to one of his best wines. He got up from where he’s sat, excusing his room as he strolled through the spacious hallway, locating his steps through the corners till he arrived at the secluded part of the mansion. He was inside the cellar in no ti
