Chapter 5: The East (3)

If I'm not mistaken, the original Myru had always not wished to go there because it was a place where memories with her parents flowed.

If indeed there is a precious place and at the moment Myru still feels heavy because of the departure of her two biological mothers. Then it could be predicted that he would still refuse until all the issues were completely resolved.

But he's not Myru.

Leave that issue aside, my life as an Arditian won't matter much either. Not having a mother and father and always living alone made me independent since I was a kid.

I don't remember how my childhood was as an Arditian, but as far as I knew, I had always been alone. That's why my situation now isn't too tough. If the current Marquess and Marquis were my biological parents it would be quite strange.

I've always been alone so it can be said that this is a normal thing even when people in the mansion stay away because they are scared of Myru's trashy nature. It wasn't a burden on her mind at all.

I raised my hand as Ben fixed the cuff on the wrist. The clothes I wore were more luxurious than usual, bright blue as a shirt and a white suit. To be honest, I never thought that such a bright color would suit me.

Since I had lived as an Arditian for 29 years, it seemed like all the clothes I always wore were dark colors. I was once again amazed by this noble title. How else would I be able to wear luxurious clothes every day, yet here was a servant who was always ready and dexterous whenever needed? My face is very suitable for wearing expensive clothes, if I were in the previous world it would look odd. Although both of our faces looked like thugs, at least Myru's face seemed more elegant. Myru's morning reverie was interrupted when a man with a big smile came and saluted him by bowing his head. "Good morning Master Myru. It's very unusual for you to be traveling with the Marquess."

His body was quite bulky, so muscles were visible even when he was wearing the full garb of a knight. He smiled broadly while holding one hand to his chest as a sign of respect. In just one look you could tell that he was quite a strong person among the other knights.

"Vice-captain, are you coming too?"

The knight vice-captain straightened his body in an alert manner. "Yes, of course, I've been assigned to guard Master Myru along with Master Roni and Miss Somi. I'll be staying near the carriage where you are, so feel free to ask for my help at any time."

His eyes now turned back to being more relaxed while glancing at Myru. "That's right, if possible, master myru, please don't make too much of a mess, okay?"

Exhaling. "Then I just need to trust and test you as a knight of the House of Velreidom. Tell me, if I cause trouble can you handle it or not? What I do is well within my rights and you know very well that when the master you are going to protect is not just a wise man like the Marquess, taking care of a troubled master like me is also your duty."

The vice-captain nodded quickly after my words were finished. "Young master was correct, that's why whenever I stay by young master Myru's side I feel more energized! Being around a troubled person makes my adrenaline rise because of the feeling of dread every time."

Myru frowned and the vice-captain resumed speaking without stopping

"That's why I'm excited to be by your side again. Usually, it is the subordinate knights from other divisions who guard the young master, but because this is a long journey I will gladly participate." The vice-captain then bowed in respect while smiling broadly. "In that case, I'll go to my guard post first." The vice-captain left exhausted Myru with all the conversation. I turned to Ben who was readily available beside his young master if there was anything he needed.

"Can I help you, young master?"

Shaking my head, I swept my brown hair back. "No, there isn't. Let's go." I said and went inside. The marquess and marquises were in the other carriage, while Ben was in a different carriage with the other servants. I looked at the other two people who were in the carriage with me.

Roni and Somi were carrying a large bag of toys that would likely be their traveling companions while on the journey.

There was a knock on the glass door, the vice-captain announced that the carriage would start running and we all nodded.

Perhaps because of the uncomfortable nature of their older brother who never spoke and being on the same train with a person who was nicknamed a trouble-maker, the two children seemed awkward and rarely spoke up, so Myru opened her voice.

"You guys play, I'm going to get some sleep."

Soni and Romi finally put on their big smiles after almost an hour of traveling.

After that, the two started to make noise and Myru fell asleep on the way after being satisfied seeing what the area looked like outside the mansion.

They took breaks every few hours and went out to get some fresh air. They ate at rented restaurants on every trip and continued on their way.I chose to stay in front of the shop with my arms crossed when someone whispered to me.

"Young master, don't look at the citizens like that... they look scared."

The vice-captain warned Myru who was currently glancing at the citizens he was referring to, sure enough, after Myru looked at them the people immediately turned around and acted like they didn't see him.

"That's great, even people outside the Velreidom domain know you, young master! You must be very famous." said the vice-captain excitedly in either praise or contempt. Myru exhaled and moved to another, quieter place.

While enjoying the village atmosphere on the way, Ben came over with a cup of tea while she was sitting down.

"Ben, how long is the journey from home to the Duchy?"

"As long as three days if we go fast, sir, but since we often take breaks, it will probably take four days at most."

Myru knew why they rested so often, it was because of Soni and Romi... even he complained every few hours. I cleared my throat with guilt.

After all, this was my first time riding a horse-drawn carriage, I usually rode a motorcycle on the highway instead of a wooden carriage moving on a bumpy road. So don't blame her if she feels bad while riding for a long time like this.

" Where is this by the way?"

"It's at the border of Velreidom. Even though it's far from the mansion these people are still part of Velreidom, that's why they also recognize the young master when they see him for the first time."

Yes, the only person in the family with brown hair and brown eyes in the middle of a pink-haired family. Although it seemed ordinary, it was very easy to find Myru amid nobles with hair colors that tended to be sparkling bright.

"Don't worry, the young master simply looks like a wicked person, but your attitude is not that terrible."

Sorry Ben, but that remark didn't make me happy at all.

"What's wrong young master?"

Ben asked with a smile as he served her a cookie.

I just kept quiet while displaying a meaningless laugh. "This cake is delicious."

Better to keep it quiet.
