The team were already a few dozen metres into the dungeon, encountering nothing but pathetic Lionakes. The Lionakes yielded very little XP, which amounts to nothing to the team.

As of now, only Drake had levelled up. Lilith and Aaron were at the bottle neck, and Felicia was not even close to levelling up. Arthur only engaged in one or two skirmishes, hence, his paused advance.

He was close to his bottleneck, but since he had not much kills except the guard, he couldn't level up. Arthur had promised himself to breakthrough to the next level, and he is still disciplining his tired self to get active and advance.

"Arthur, you haven't been taking down any of the Lionakes. Aaron has been stealing most of your kills for a long while now." Felicia threw a glance in Arthur's direction, and raised her brow, "Are you okay? You still look a bit pale."

Arthur blinked, then hacked down a Lionake with his brows furrowed. The Lionake granted him just 100XP, a simply pathetic sum for someone like Arthur.

"I'm okay, just feeling a little tired. A few more swings and I'll be okay." Arthur dashed towards another Lionake and cut it down swiftly. Unlike before, he was able to one-hit kill these Lionakes!

He had improved a bit, but it still wasn't enough for what was coming for him. He had to awaken, and he wouldn't relax for a second until he had achieved it! Just 2,300 XP, and he'll level up.

"See that opening? That's the path to the main part of this dungeon! Charge towards it without wasting a single second!" Arthur sheathed his sword and pointed ahead of the team, then he dashed towards the opening at a fast speed.

Drake and Lilith followed, with Aaron and Felicia trailing them from behind. Most of the lionakes that appeared before them would be cut down by Arthur without hesitation, leaving those out of his reach to the others behind him.

In the manner, Arthur managed to bring down a dozen Lionakes, before reaching the opening. The lionakes had a fairly high respawn rate, which he had tested before. Minutes from now, he believes the room would be flooded and all paths blocked.

"Damnit! Why did you have to dash ahead like that? Do you want all of us to die out of fatigue?"

"Arthur don't run off like that, it could be very dangerous! What if you encountered monsters here? What would you have done?"

"Arthur am I not a vanguard too? Why did you—"

Before Drake could finish his sentence, Arthur drew out his sword and took a stance. Drake was stunned for a while staring at his back.

After a few seconds, he stepped to the side and stared straight into the eyes of another variant of the Lionakes they'd been fighting.

"It's a Lionake Hunter, be very careful you guys. It's skill allows it to deal about 400% of it's normal attack rate. One hit from that thing with it's skill active will also inflict [Bleed] and [Weak]." Arthur warned the others as he strengthened his stance with his brows knitted, and his sword held tightly in his hands.

Boasting high attack damage, but low defense and speed, the Lionake Hunter was an annoying enemy that not many unawakened could fight alone.

It was the bane of most classes, and was becomes even more annoying to fight against when guarded from enemies by other variants of Lionakes. This is because it gains more power without being able to be harmed by any attack from it's enemy.

"Everyone should focus on killing it without taking any damage! One hit from it would definitely take out any one of us, even without it's skill active!" Arthur cautioned before dashing towards the target.

Drake dashed after Arthur with his brows furrowed, then after a few seconds, he leaped forward at a fast rate, literally throwing himself at the enemy. To the others, he had become a dumb madman by doing something so suicidal at this last minute.

"Damnit! He said don't get hit! Do you think Lilith is a robot?! She wouldn't be able to hea—" Aaron screamed at the top of his lungs after processing the situation, only to receive a tight slap on the back of his head that made him shut his mouth.

"Shut up! He should know what he's doing. You look like a fool you know? Shouting like that for no reason at all." Felicia reprimanded a stunned Aaron as she drew out an arrow and aimed at the Lionake, firing into it's right eye without missing.

The Lionake roared madly, raising it's paw to attack the approaching Drake with it's bloodlusted eye. It clawed at Drake at a fast speed, it's hands sure to rip through Drake like a hot knife cutting through butter.

Drake's pupils narrowed down to needle points at the last few seconds, and he suddenly forced a spin in the middle of his flight. Nearly breaking his waist in the process as he dragged his sword alongside.

This caused his sword to spin after him, creating a spinning cyclone effect with his blade. The power behind his spin was reflected in the speed of his spinning sword, and in a second, he made contact.

The head of the Lionake was ripped off by Drake, and without any means to support itself, the body fell to the ground. Drake crashed awkwardly a few metres away, but didn't seemed to be bothered much by it.

He has earned a considerable amount of XP, around five times what the smaller and weaker Lionakes had given him. This Lionake, towering over 7ft with it's glistening grey scales and gleaming red eyes was a tougher opponent than the others.

Despite this, Drake was still able to take it down in a single all-out strike. Not sustaining a single wound in the process, and earning a valuable amount of XP. In comparison to the guard they faced, it was weak.

Drake wiped the blood on his sword, then dashed off without wasting time, landing on a small boulder just a few metres away. After a few seconds, he turned to stare back at the team rushing after him.

"Arthur, they're others in that direction. I think there are over a dozen of them wandering around. Could be more, can't give anyone s specified number." Drake warned as he pointed ahead, at a gathering of huge trees, and withering plants.

"Two Lionake Infantry, two Lionake Hunter and two Stone Hooves." Arthur frowned as he grabbed his jaw and lowered his head in deep thoughts. After seconds of thinking, he raised his head and spoke, "Definitely high difficulty, unless any two of us has [Uncommon] attack or defense skills.”

"We'll avoid that area — we'll head west, and circle around that northern area." Drake quickly made a decision, then shifted his index finger to the left. A broad frown suddenly appeared on his face.

"Very high difficulty, advisable not to go there. I can sense at least three Lionake Warriors, and a few more Stone Hooves." Arthur spat out coldly after tracing Drake's fingers and locking his sight on that general direction, "We'll all be beaten in a few seconds if we make even the slightest mistake."

"…"

Drake blinked, then pointed at the east with his eyes gleaming furiously. He was stunned twice, and didn't know what else he could do anymore. All the areas he pointed at were dangerous, they all couldn't go there!

"Mid difficulty, would clear in a few minutes with one or two mild casualties. Well, for a group of awakened warriors." Arthur blinked, turned to the side and once again spat out a brutally cold assessment of the area.

Arthur paused and everyone else followed. In the past, he had taken that path to the bosses chamber, and was wiped out in a few minutes. He barely lived, even without anyone holding him back.

”We should avoid those two areas, and take the easy route." Arthur patted Drake on the shoulder, "Prepare yourself, you can't afford to waste precious energy."
