Everyone in Arthur's party jumped into the black hole with their eyes closed. The space around the team twisted as soon as they jumped through the portal and their bodies entered an endless and vast void of darkness, then, in an explosion of light their bodies which were suspended in mid-air was instantly teleported to the dungeon.

When Arthur and the others opened their eyes and looked around, they found themselves in a dimly lit cave with just a few torches hung on the walls, their flames nearly extinguished.

[Welcome Players to Desolated Soul Dungeon!]

[Dungeon Difficultly - High]

[Reward For Clearing Dungeon - All Party Members Receive:

Random Item Spawn(1) ; 5000 Battle Experience ; Random Skill Spawn]

[Penalty For Inability To Clear Dungeon - Death]

Everyone in Arthur's party had the transparent golden screen appear before their eyes. Their pupils contracted as everyone read what was on the rectangular screen before them.

High Difficulty! This was definitely a C-ranked Dungeon!

"Okay, before we blindly rush into the dungeon… Does anyone know anything about this dungeon we're going into?" Drake asked as he raised his brows and eyed the side of Arthur's face with a frown on his face. He wasn't dumb enough to face unnecessary trouble that could be avoided with important information.

Arthur who felt the intense gaze coming from the male besides him could only roll his eyes in his heart letting out a soft sigh. After a split second, he opened his mouth to speak in a soft voice.

"First things first, we must first defeat all of the dungeon guardians. A couple of Mortal Realm Lionakes, two of the are at Level 5 and the leader is at Level 6."

Arthur said with a frown as he crouched down to the ground and gently began to draw something on the stone floor with his index finger,

"The native monsters of this dungeon are Stone Hooves which are around Levels 3 - 4, and the boss is a powerful Level 10 monster… Iron Hooves."

Everyone stared at what he was drawing on the floor, unable to comprehend it, they rolled their eyes and looked away. Only Felicia kept staring, trying her best to understand it.

'A Magic Circle? Wait… This b*stard is doodling nonsense!' Felicia sneered in her heart. She did not believe that someone like Arthur would be able to derive a stable magic circle from this.

Arthur continued to 'doodle' a random Divine Grade technique on the ground without lifting his head, not bothering to hide it as he knew that the people around him wouldn't understand the complex technique.

He was focused on recalling the information of the monsters in this dungeon in his head. A few more mistakes, and he would forget everything.

He would definitely return later with a stronger force, and try once more. Just as he finished that thought, he completely recalled the details of all the monsters he'd encountered in the past.

First were the Lionakes: Strange hybrid monsters with the upper body of a lion and the lower body of a metallic serpent. They hunt in groups or solo, depending on the prey and predator. They have good strength and average speed.

Stone Hooves: Hybrid monster with the upper body of lion and the lower body of a horse which seems made out of stone. Iron Hooves was nearly the same as Stone Hooves but it's lower body of a horse wasn't made out of stone, but metal.

Though they both seemed to be of the same race, Iron Hooves were naturally stronger and higher levelled then Stone Hooves. Despite everything, Stone Hooves had high endurance, defence and strength in numbers which is enough to thrash Arthur, and even some low levelled awakened.

Currently, Arthur's team had an archer at Lv2, a mage at Lv3, thief at Lv2, knight at Lv4, and the leader who was warrior also at Lv4.

With the vast differences in strength levels, it would be impossible for any one of them to clear the dungeon alone no matter how many trump cards they have under their sleeves.

When they formed a team, the strength they could unleash would not pale in comparison to that of a monster at Level 10! This was enough strength to take on dungeons like this with ease.

That is, if they are prepared and cooperative. It wouldn't be any difficult for just one of them to survive to the end with the others as backup.

"We should think of a good plan that'll benefit all of us." Lilith butt in with her eyes showing her worry and concern not towards just the others, but herself. If the mission went south, the very first to be left behind might be her!

She lacked stamina or strength to fight monsters in close combat or run for long distances. A weak constitution would get her nowhere unless she had a team acting cover to unleash her potential.

"Our plan is simple: We would charge right into their den and wipe them out!" Arthur said as he got up from his crouching position and gave Felicia a glance before turning his back to the others and opening his mouth to speak,

"I and Drake would strike head on, acting as team vanguards. Felicia will stay at the rear, backing up our retreat and protecting the thief whose job is to grab loot as we move. Lilith will act as support, giving the vanguards buffs and heals."

Everyone nodded their heads immediately after Arthur finished speaking before suddenly taking their positions. Felicia who had to stand besides the perverted thief sighed in her heart but didn't complain— Yet.

"Hi Babe, how about I treat you to dinner after all this?" Aaron said as he nudged the elf who was an inch taller than him with his elbow. He had a silly smile on his face as she glared down at him.

"Treat your mother to dinner you moron!" Felicia snapped, fighting the urge to send Aaron flying with a single slap and focusing her gaze on the darkness ahead. She had to control herself.

"How long do we have to wait before they finally get here?" Lilith said as she waved her staff and arms around, warming up for the imminent clash with the Lionakes.

"I don't know… Maybe a couple of minutes… Or…" Arthur's eyes suddenly widened as a sudden feeling of danger swept over him, making his heart tighten as his pupils contracted for a split second. "Holy—! They're here!"

The earth behind Drake sunk in before suddenly protruding, as if something was trying to jump out of it. The protrusion wasn't difficult for one to miss if they were vigilant enough.

"Drake! Behind you! Aaron yelled at his comrade when he saw the strange phenomenon behind the unsuspecting Drake, the worry in his eyes wasn't concealed in the slightest.

The earth behind Drake swelled tremendously before suddenly exploding without any warning.

"Damn it!" Drake cursed as he leaped away to evade getting blasted to pieces by the strange explosion that occurred earlier. Only a few wild shards of stone and debris had cut across his skin.

Lillith frown upon seeing all these, her gaze sharpened as she stared into the large hole created from the explosion with a pondering expression. Suddenly, her face paled as she leaped away, opening her mouth to warn the others, "Lionakes! Everyone get ready for combat!"

Drake who heard this frowned before turning around with a strange glow in his eyes. He turned to see something leaping out of the hole to land just metres before him. He smiled awkwardly.

The creature he faced was a bit strange. It was a monster with the upper body of a fierce lion with glistening golden fur, but the lower body of a snake having shiny black scales.

Towering over 4 metres, the large monster stared down upon the party like a hungry predator about to devour a fat and lonely prey. It was a powerful Lionake! It's name and level was hovering over it's head boldly for everyone to see.

[Lionake Guard (Level 7) - Awakened]

"Damn, it's a Level 7! Did it get stronger or is the information Arthur dropped wrong?" Aaron cried out from behind as he saw the level of his enermy, he didn't know what to do in this situation.

If the other Lionakes were summoned, then they would be surrounded. Leaving this place or even breaking out of an encirclement with the Level 7 on their neck would be nearly impossible.

Drake charged towards the monster, and leaped into the air directly at it's face with his hands on the hilt of his sword as he twisted his wrist. The sharp blade of his sword was swung at the large Lionake — it ripped through the air and smashed on the monster's face.

A small shockwave bloomed as Drake was fired away and sent hurtling into a wall. Although he was flung away like a rag doll, he still had his grip around his sword tightened!

As for the Lionake, a large gash was left across it's face. It bled a strange purplish blood, but in the next split second, the bleeding stopped and his wound healed completely.

It's eyes gleamed in a blinding red light as it set it's eyes on the fidgeting Lilith. It roared crazily before charging over at a shocking speed for it's large size. It had been enraged by Drake's attack.

"Lillith! Cast a [Feral Strength] buff on me! We'll chip at it's strength, then I'll take it down in one strike!"

Arthur spoke in a grim voice as he leapt forward with his sword gripped tightly in his right hand. A bright red light engulfed his body, and in the next second his running speed tripled!

[Feral Strength cast on Player @Arthur!]

[All stats received a thirty percent increase!]

"That's impossible! You can't defeat a level 7 awakened with your strength alone! It hasn't even revealed it's strength yet, but was able to take out Drake in one strike!" Aaron yelled, veins popping out of his head as he widened his eyes.

"Shut up!" Drake's voice was heard, and he slowly climbed out of the wall he was smashed into, "We will deal with it, or have you forgotten how strong we are?"

"But— But!"

"Shut up!" Felicia smacked the back of Aaron's head with her brows knitted. She seemed to be quivering, but managed to keep her cool, and tried believing in the strength of the two battle freaks.

Arthur roared like a mad wolf as he leaped ahead to attack the Lionake. His skin gleamed in a soft metallic light, a simple side effect of the [Feral Strength] skill that granted him higher defence and strength for a few short seconds.

If the monster gets by him, the others would face instant defeat. It's strength would be too strong for anyone to handle, since it had defeated Arthur and Drake without much effort.

'Chop it down! I'm going to chop it down before it gets to the others!' Arthur grabbed his sword with both hands and furrowed his brows as he was shot into the air after his leap.

He raised his sword mid-air and hacked down at the approaching Lionake — the blade of his sword turned into a blinding light as it was dragged down and blasted into the Lionake's head.

His blade tore through the Lionake's head like butter, cleaving it into two perfect halves. All the spectators were stunned wtching Arthur as he split the head of an awakened easily.

"Don't just stand there! Drake, come over here and let's finish this thing!"
