A Call From Dr.Lukeman

Mason confidently walked out of the lobby and turned into a quieter hallway with fewer people. He checked his buzzing phone and answered the incoming call.

“Mr.Williams?” Dr. Lukeman's voice came through immediately the line connected, giving Mason a hint as he could sense the urgency lacing the doctor's tone.

"Dr. Lukeman, I didn't expect to hear from you so soon," he replied, feigning ignorance of the situation. The man on the other end of the line felt his heart leap to his throat, thinking Mason was unaware of the trending rumors soaring through the internet. Even the hospital was flooded with media eagerly anticipating an explanation from Williams Central Hospital.

The director, who had received instructions from Mrs. Williams, had informed the medical staff in charge of the trial not to provide any information relating to the trial to the media as it would draw more attention, which was the last thing it needed.
