MICHAEL FIGHTS BACK

Michael hung up the call before the man would say another word. The man liked to talk too much. He went back to the table and saw Isabella wiping tears. She looked pretty upset.

‘What is wrong? You look upset.’

‘It is just a minor issue. Nothing much.’ She said.

‘No, I insist. Tell me what that matter is. Is it the agent?’

Isabella hesitated but decided to say it out because Michael looked ready to pester her about it. He was not going to let go until she said what it was that troubled her.

‘It is my landlord. He had just informed me of his decision to get the police to break down my door and get my things out of the house. I am three months behind on my rent and I don’t have any money to pay.’ Isabella paused, trying to fight back tears.
