A CHANCE MEETING

Feeling alone, Michael didn’t feel like going home. He didn’t have a family anymore. His parents had died years ago. He had no living relative; that was why, when he married Diana, he decided to become a full time husband, caring for his wife and staying around in the house. His parents had left him substantial wealth to last him two lifetimes but he felt that the love of a loved one was what he missed more in his life. He wanted to be there for here; all he wanted in return was for Diana to love him in return.

Now that he felt alone, he returned to the place where his mother was resting, the city’s cemetery. Having died about seven years ago, she is the only member of his family that was buried on US soil. Every other member, including his father had been buried in Europe. His mother’s grave was a grand mausoleum-like structure, housing her sarcophagus and burial site.
