THE ESCAPE FROM SHAME

News broke in the town the following morning. It was about Roberts. Diana had escaped from police detention. Everyone was talking about it on the television, radio, social media and even the blogs. Diana had escaped from the facility where she was held pending when her case would be moved to court for legal proceedings. The night before, a police officer had gone to her cell to give her some food and beddings. She had overpowered the officer and ran out of the cell. Then making her way to the laundry rooms, Diana found an open window and climbed out.

People were advised to relay any information they had about Roberts or Diana to the nearest police station. When the police arrived at the Roberts family mansion to find Diana, they didn’t find anyone at home. And seeing that there was a possibility that Diana and her children had left town, they put out an announcement to the public in the hope of finding them.
