‘Why is Michael still alive?’ Roberts Snr asked Steven roberts. They were outside on the corridor of the floor where the governor’s ball was held. There was nobody close by and it was not breezy that night.

‘It wasn't my job to handle that part. Was it?’ Steven Roberts replied. His eyes were fixed somewhere else other than his uncle.

‘I ask again, why is Michael Solomon still alive?’

Steven Roberts didn’t answer. He squeezed his face and looked elsewhere.

‘I see you have grown some balls. I haven’t heard from you or my spy in weeks and I show and you have no explanation for me. That is fine. I see that you want to run this family to the ground. That is fine. But I can tell you categorically that, I would sooner have you kicked out of our family than have you ruin all the hard work we have done so far.’
