Chapter twenty-eight

The smell of antiseptic filled the air and the faint sound of the machine's beeping made Josephine's mouth twitch.

Josephine slowly blinked her eyes open, her head ached and she tried to take on her surroundings.

Josephine felt the stinging pain in her body as she tried moving, her eyes were blurry and she didn't know where she was staying.
