As night fell, Marcus found himself consumed by Lydia's accusations. What did she mean? Marcus had never cheated on Lydia, his mind swirling with confusion and disbelief. Unable to shake it off his head, he sighed in frustration.

Just then, as the door creaked open, interrupting his solitude, Kathie and the others entered the room. Kathie's expression was a mix of relief and anger as she stormed towards Marcus, her emotions boiling over. Without a word, she raised her hand and delivered a sharp slap to his wounded arm.

Marcus winced in pain, his eyes wide with surprise at Kathie's sudden outburst. "I told you to be careful, how... how could you be so stupid to cover for her, to shield her and took the bullet, what if you ended up dying!"

He remained silent, unable to find the words to defend himself, "Uhm, I'm okay now!"

"I know you are!" she slapped the wound again, Marcus groaned in pain, "Kathieeeee".

Pauline scoffed and held Kathie, "He is just recovering, let him get better".
