"These evil beings are sentenced to hell in my world's afterlife." Zaa explained while walking with Matt, observing the construction workers doing various kinds of work, "My God promises they can go to heaven or even become his crew if they keep up the good work."
"No wonder they're so excited." Matt squinted at a woman in a shabby dress chopping down a tree with an axe. She was screaming like a madman, and her eyes bulged so much they looked like they were about to pop out of their sockets.
"And we have enhanced their speed and strength." Zaa went on. "So, they will work faster and more efficiently."
"I see…." Matt grimaced at the sight of a loinclothed elf man carrying rocks up to the height of an elephant. That man also has an intense expression.
"No one forced them." The supervisor stopped and looked at Matt with a smile. "But if they refuse this job, they will return to hell. So, this is not slavery. And remember one thing. These are cruel lawbreakers who deserve punishment."
Matt tried to ignore what was happening around him. If he replaces Zaa, there's no guarantee that things will be different.
And he might do something similar soon.
"Mr. Zaa? What is it?" Matt raised an eyebrow when he noticed the supervisor's smile looked weird. "You want to ask something?"
The supervisor widened his smile. "Yeah, sir. I have a few questions."
"Then, just ask." Matt chuckled. "You don't need to hesitate with me."
Zaa took a deep breath, then exhaled. "Why is the path from the fighter's entrance to the arena so long, sir!? Why is the arena square!? And why should there be those things!? I'm also worried about the location of the audience! How can they enjoy the match, then!? What is the function of that big screen!? Spectators in the stands above can use binoculars to see more clearly! With all due respect, sir! This design of yours is absurd!"
Matt smiled back. He tapped Zaa's shoulder and said. "You'll understand eventually. Now, you better focus on your work."
The supervisor's mouth could only open and close without any words, and Matt just left him. He was quite surprised that someone like Zaa couldn't understand his vision. What Matt came up with wasn't anything new. He only made a few modifications according to his wishes.
"Megumi hasn't woken up yet?" After a long walk from the construction site, Matt approached a woman with pink curly hair sitting on a rock.
She glanced at Megumi. That assistant snored on her sleeping bag and drooled.
"I'm not sure that position indicates that she is awake." That woman in the white nurse's dress looked at Matt again. With a tone devoid of enthusiasm, she muttered. "And my face is here, sir."
Matt moved his gaze from that woman's prominent cleavage to her eyes. "Sorry, Miss Arael."
The young man only glanced at those assets; even then, he didn't do it on purpose.
"That's why I don't like this body shape." She took a deep breath. "I don't know why my god created me like this."
Those words didn't suit her dress which was so tight, further highlighting her body curve. Also, that outfit almost exposed half of her above-average-sized cleavage.
Matt became suspicious that she wanted to attract attention but refused to admit it.
"When are you going to summon the fighters, sir?" Arael asked, still in her spiritless tone. "You didn't call me just to be idle, did you? My main task is to fix the injured fighters…."
"Arrghhh!!!" A scream from afar cut Arael off.
"His body is split into two!!!"
"Medic! Where's the medic!?"
"And also treating the workers." Matt shrugged. "Please help whoever it is, Miss Arael. After this, you can assemble a healing team with me."
The healer took a deep breath, got to his feet, then ran so fast that it raised dust and wind.
That was one of the reasons Matt chose Arael as his organization's chief healer. She can move at speeds far above the average human. It also makes her able to treat someone faster.
Although her personality is a bit strange.
After confirming that Megumi showed no signs of waking up, Matt decided to go ahead with his plan for the time being. He had tired that woman out yesterday, so he didn't want to wake her up.
"Alright…" The young man sat down on a boulder and opened his cell phone, checking the bookmarks of the five individuals he had selected.
Two humans, two elves, and one dwarf.
He checked their profiles one by one to confirm his choice, then tapped the [Summon All] button.
Those individuals appeared in thin air and landed in front of Matt. They didn't crash to the ground like Megumi, but the noise from their landing was enough to snap the assistant's body up from its slumber.
With eyes barely open and hair untidy, she stared at those individuals in silence, then hurriedly put on her glasses. "Why didn't you wake me up when you summoned them, sir!?"
"It's okay."
"But this is my fault because I sleep too much. I apologize. To be materialized in the mortal world, God's servants like me must use an organic body like this. I'm not used to it... I'm sorry, I'm talking about unimportant things."
"Really… It's fine, Miss Megumi."
The assistant stood beside her boss, fixed her hair and clothes, then cleared her throat. "Greetings, great warriors. Welcome to…. Well, we haven't named our organization yet. One thing is certain, Mr. Andrew Nash summoned all of you to fight each other. You may all be surprised by this, but I will explain everything and answer your questions."
Those people's gazes fell on the assistant, who wore a faint smile.
"Nope." Matt raised his hand. "They will not fight."
"You heard it yourself. You're not going to fight." Widening her eyes again, Megumi turned her head to that young man. "They're not going to fight!? What do you mean, sir!? Why summon them then!?"
"I will summon the fighters later. I'm still making the selection." Matt got up from the boulder, holding his cell phone. "But their duties are no less important for the success of our organization." He then approached those people and hissed. "The question is, are you guys ready?"
"That's how it is." Megumi had just given those individuals a lengthy explanation. "Are there any questions?""Sorry, but this is too much for me." A female elf with long green hair in two braids sighed as she leaned against a tree. "You say we have died and been resurrected? That sounds ridiculous. But at the same time, I couldn't find a logical explanation for why I was here. The last memory I have is of riding a horse after the criminals. Then an arrow hit me in the chest.""Believe me, Miss Sylvair Sarrell." Matt joined in as he sat down on a rock. "I also felt the same when I first came here."Surprisingly, no one panicked when Megumi explained, so things went smoothly. In fact, no one interrupted the assistant at all."Then why were we summoned if not to fight?" a man with short hair asked."You will be the referee, Mr. Javier Navarro." Matt got up from the rock and approached the individuals. "And you will do it with Miss Sarrell in turn.""Excuse me, sir." Megumi suddenly grab
Several days passed, Matt entered the only completed building in the area, and he gasped hard. "Bwoah!"There's lots of musical equipment and some other devices in that place. Because Matt was too busy, he didn't check them beforehand."I thank you for letting me build this impressive studio." Elmar, the musical elf, came to that young man. "With all this, I can make some music…. Ah, I just made a sample for the opening theme of our show. Do you want to hear it?""Maybe later. I'm still busy." Matt still looked around the large room, wondering if his organization needed all those tools. Even so, the young man didn't blame Megumi for not knowing anything about this. But it seems he needs to control the expenses more. There must have been a lot of funds spent on this place."I noticed eye bags have appeared on your face. It looks like you need to rest, Boss." Elmar commented, then glanced at the papers in that young man's hands. "Is that the data of our fighters?""Ah yeah." Matt handed
"If the gods are so mighty, why didn't they build all this right away, Matt?" Lognar asked as he and the others headed to the indoor stadium construction site."Yeah, and why am I even given limited funds, even though a god owns one world?" the president muttered. "There are so many questions like that in my head."Megumi fixed her glasses. "Unfortunately, even I, a former servant of god, don't know the answers to those questions. Maybe we'll never know either.""Well, it's better if we just enjoy what's in front of our eyes, then." The Dwarf shrugged.Matt replied. "Yeah, I try not to think about it too much. So far, I haven't had anything that wronged me."Once they got to the stadium, Matt's mouth curved into a smile. He did not expect the building to reach 60% in just three weeks. In his wildest dreams, he never imagined having his own stadium."Damn." Lognar whistled as the party made their way towards the arena at night, with only some lamps for the light. "It's so different fro
The first to rise was a black-haired, ponytailed woman wearing a lab coat. She rocked the other woman's body. Her hair was also black but in a twin-tail style."Nia! Nia!" That woman kept calling her colleague. "Where are we, Nia!?"Nia finally raised her face, which turned out to be almost identical to the previous woman but much younger.Unlike her partner, the ponytailed woman didn't show any concern. She stood up and looked around instead."This…. A venue?" She hissed."Welcome, Namie Mitsue and Nia. You may both be confused as to why you are here. But there's no need to worry." Matt assured them with a smile so wide his teeth showed. "I'll explain everything, but I'll summon everyone first."Matt could have summoned all the fighters at once, but he wanted a more dramatic effect."Do you think her clothes are cute? Or is it too much?" Sylvair whispered to Vivianne, who was standing next to her. The elf referee referred to Nia's bright pink and green dress with lots of knick-knacks
"As per the name of this organization, all of you will fight each other." Matt continued. "For what, you ask? Well, for glory, fame, or to satisfy your fighting desires, which you may not have fully fulfilled in your previous life. And, of course, to become the MFC Champion!""MFC Champion…. Multiverse Fighting Championship Champion?" Salvia muttered, and as soon as she received Megumi's glare, she raised her hands."The entire multiverse will be watching you!" The president pointed to those people. "So, I hope you guys are serious about this! Fighting half-hearted would be an offense! Even more so if you refuse to do so! You will get punished. And no. I don't talk about things like Miss Megumi did just now."Matt paused again to observe those individuals. Just like a moment ago, a few of them looked worried, but this time the expressions of the rest were more serious."Do you guys remember about the gap after you died and resurrected? The afterlife?" A smile graced Matt's face. "I be
Matt sipped his coffee that morning, but the drowsiness wouldn't go away. After the summoning ritual for the fighters, he and the others worked hard to prepare everything. Even if he had time at night, he usually couldn't sleep because he thought about various things. Will the construction of the stadium be finished before their first show? Will there be a lot of tickets sold? What if the vision doesn't suit the audience? And many more questions that haunt his head. So, the young man came out of his tent for a morning walk before continuing his work."Good morning. Did everything go well? Is there anything I need to hear?" He approached Zaa and Megumi, discussing something near the residential area."Well, it turns out that our healer personnel are still lacking in treating injured workers," Zaa explained while checking his notebook. "That's because we're doing all of this at such a fast pace, sir. But I don't blame you. The sooner we get this over with, the better."Matt looked at th
This is the first time Matt has worn a suit. He tried to loosen his collar many times and wanted to replace it with a regular shirt. But on this big night, he must look sharp. "Are you nervous, buddy?" Lognar, wearing a traditional maroon dwarven shirt with various gold accents, chuckled. "Well, you are not alone. This is also a first for me."Matt took a deep breath. "Let's go."They left the locker room and walked down the stadium corridor."Maybe because we're both busy, I forgot to ask you this." The Dwarf made sure the braids in his beard were neat. "Why do you also want to be a commentator when you are a president who takes care of everything from behind the scenes.""I also want to have fun, you know." The president took a deep breath when he heard the commotion that felt closer. It's not too loud, but still, it thrills Matt. Finally, his hard work with the others came to fruition. After pulling back the curtain at the entrance, Matt and Lognar's gaze was met by the crowd fill
"I don't even know the order of tonight's matches." Lognar rubbed his hands together in anticipation. "So, every entrance makes my heart feel like it's going to explode because it's beating so fast!" The light shone into the entrance, showing a woman in a bright pink and green dress standing with her back to the audience. Unlike before, no one cheered. They were confused why the twin-tailed woman formed a heart with her fingers above her head, not because they hated that next fighter. Something like the sound of a rotating tool echoed, followed by a catchy melody, then an upbeat tempo. That woman with a slender stature started to shake her hips. A series of pink heart graphics decorated the expansive screen. Then several texts appear in turn. [NIA] [THE BRIGHTEST] [IDOL] "I really don't know what to expect from this young lady." Lognar shook his head, also confused by that presentation. "You know nothing, Lognar
"I am the champion!!!" Shin shouted at the top of his lungs, and the smoke from his sword expanded, destroying the energy blast from Bazaiger. Then, that thing hit the Bazaiger robot's body, causing a powerful explosion."We can't see anything!!!" Lognar squeezed his head when he saw that the large screen and the hologram projection in the arena were only showing black."We have spare drones." Matt remained calm. "So, we just have to wait until the feed comes back."And sure enough. Not long after, the large screen displayed the condition of the moon's surface, which was full of mist from gray sand. It took a while for the camera to focus on Shin. The ninja was kneeling with heavy breaths and using his katana as support. The two giants were nowhere to be seen.Shin felt that all his energy had run out. Every joint in his body was so weak, and his eyes were so heavy. He wanted to rest his body immediately by lying down.Unfortunately,
There is only one hope for Shin to win. Enenra's power within him basically has two levels. The one he had been using, the other one would activate bigger and more smoke energy. Yes, like he did against Zerneider. The Bazaiger was still walking slowly, and Shin took a step back. Even now, he doesn't know how to activate the second level of his Enenra power. Frustrated, the Ninja stepped forward and tried to slash his opponent. But this time, Daigo Tokuma could catch his opponent's weapon easily. "It's futile." The Bazaiger hissed, then his one hand emitted sparks of electricity. That man punched Shin's chin so hard that the Ninja launched upwards. "Is this the end!?" Lognar stood up while hitting the commentator's table. Shin also thought that way. Is this the end? Will evil win? Will he not be the champion anymore? Should he give up? "Maximum energy." In a calm tone, the Bazaiger said. A glowing B-like logo app
Shin stepped forward and swung his sword, but the Bazaiger caught it easily."Since the last match, I haven't been sitting around." Daigo Tokuma tilted his head. "I'm also preparing to…."Suddenly, the Bazaiger let go of the sword and jumped back. He found his palms slightly deteriorating."You're not stupid, Daigo Tokuma." Shin pointed his sword at his opponent. "You should know I am also preparing myself to fight you."The Bazaiger laughed. "But things like this won't make you win against me."A fierce fight occurred. Shin continued to slash his sword at Daigo. The Bazaiger could only dodge, and occasionally, his opponent's attacks hit his body. But once he could hit Shin's chest, the ninja flew several feet. But Shin managed to land on both feet, though he had to slide backward, and stuck his sword into the floor."You don't want to use your fancy skills, young man?" The Bazaiger put his hands behind his back. "Maybe that cl
{A few days ago}Another movie night for Shin and Thea Salazar. The mechanic stretched his body when the action film they were watching finished."I want to ask you something, Thea," Shin muttered while looking at the rolling credits. The mechanic frowned because Shin's expression was so serious. "What is it? You want to ask why the main character doesn't get tired even though he keeps fighting?"A soft chuckle escaped the ninja's mouth. "No, this is related to Salvia. She is considered a hero, right?"Thea rubbed her chin for a moment, looking thoughtful. "Ah, this is about the heroism you talked about when confronting that Bazaiger? Well, Salvia is indeed a hero, but she never thought so." Multiverse Fighting Championship: I'm the President
Lexi could only escape from Yvonne's attacks. The blonde-haired warrior barely made a counterattack, and sometimes her body was hit by tips from her opponent's spear, either from regular strikes or golden rain."Yeah, keep attacking her!" Urukka encourages Yvonne from outside the cage. "You dominate this, girl!"Charles rubbed his chin. "Remember, what Yvonne is facing is a champion, Urukka. Yvonne can't be careless even though she seems to be winning now."Yes, Yvonne is not satisfied with the current conditions. She was sure that Lexi was planning something. There's no way that blonde-haired woman isn't thinking about anything.Lexi must be doing her hypnosis technique. Yvonne actually had resistance to things like that, but Lexi's hypnosis was quite strong.187 – Maybe
Vivianne stood in the middle of the arena. "This match is scheduled for the Askreim championship!!!"GWG food truck's theme music triggers the audience to cheer. For the second time that night, the trio distributed food to the audience."Yvonne is more cheerful than usual, Matt." Lognar chuckled at the golden knight prancing around on her way to the arena."That's because this is her biggest night at MFC." The president rose to his feet. "Excuse me, I have to welcome them.""Good luck!" Lognar replied when his superior left the commentator's area. "Another historic night for MFC. For the first time, the Askreim championship will be defended after that chase the dragonfly match."The roar from the audience became even more thunderous when the piano and violin strains of Lexi's theme music were played. They hummed along to the series of notes as Lexi danced towards the arena."We see a slight difference in Lexi's outfit." Lognar refers to the
Shori stood casually in the arena while Norug hyped up the audience while walking from the entrance."Shori said that now she doesn't just fight for the sake of fighting only," Matt informed the audience. "She also wants to be a champion, to be the person at the top, because, in her previous life, she never had the chance to do that."Lognar took a deep breath. "But Norug came into this match with a different mindset. He claimed he would use this fight as a way to communicate his love for Shori. What the f*ck that even means?"Matt was quite surprised to hear that from Lognar. The dwarf commentator rarely curses while working."I will defeat you and make you accept me!" Norug pointed at his opponent while they were in the center of the arena.Shori closed her eyes and turned around after receiving an explanation from the referee."Fight!" The referee starts the match.Unlike usual, Shori went first.Norug laughed as he blocked
Testra also wondered why he could fall for such an attack. "You won't be able to beat me," Testra growled and tried to stand up but failed. "This is…." The werewolf dug its claws into Testra's wrist. The minotaur screamed in pain and released his grip. Instead of attacking again, Liam stumbled backward, fell on the floor, and then clutched his neck while coughing. "Something like that shouldn't have happened to Liam." Lognar performed the analysis. "Liam got too cocky because he managed to disable one of Testra's legs, so he let his guard down." Liam rose to his feet with the help of the cage wires. The minotaur's grip was so firm. Just a few seconds late, his neck would have been broken. Meanwhile, Testra grimaced while looking at his bleeding left leg. It couldn't be moved at all. Even so, his determination to win did not waver. Like Liam, he uses cage wires to stand up. If he remains in a kneeling position, the referee will
Still in pain, Testra checked his opponent. The tiny creature's wings flapped briefly, even though he couldn't get up yet.The minotaur hits the floor in rage. He has yet to win. Then, the referee does the countdown.Testra was already standing, but he immediately staggered and fell again. He didn't realize that falling from such a height had such a significant impact on his body, even though he was using a magic barrier.Meanwhile, King Vespmoss managed to turn over on the floor."Vespmoss' arrival means MFC has to create its own criteria for creatures like him," Matt explained on the count of five. "So, he will be considered able to continue the match if he manages to fly again."Lognar linked his fingers in front of his face. "But neither of them shows any signs of getting up. Will this end in a double count?""If that happens, no one will be the first contender for the MFC championship." Matt doesn't want that."Nine
