The Awakening

Shian began to convulse terribly, his blood which was splattered everywhere began to flow in reverse, his bones snapped back into position, which was a very painful process.

Black blood began to flow out of his mouth and the pores of his skin, his eyes turned bloodshot and he coughed violently.

A grey aura began to seep out of his body gradually, then abruptly, it burst out with power, ravaging the surroundings and destroying everything within it.

The wolf sensing danger turned around to flee but a suction force pulled it towards Shian.

The wolf was using all the strength it could muster to run, but it wasn't making any difference.

As it was pulled back, it left a trail on the ground, it's sharp claws dug into the metal floor but the suction force disavailed it of that advantage and it was finally pulled away.

The wolf was sucked into the area and devoured by the aura Shian was releasing. Shian's eyes which were bloodshot previously were now glowing with power.

Shian didn't know what was going on because he had blacked out the moment the white mist had infiltrated his body.

In the distance a multitude of beasts were making their way towards the commotion. The moment they reached the one kilometer mark from where Shian was, they felt the pull, some beasts were not smart enough and kept on walking towards it until it was too late.

Meanwhile the aura from Shian was still causing havoc in its surroundings. It continued for a whole hour before abruptly stopping the same way it had began.

Shian was left on the ground still passed out. He lay there for a whole week without moving an inch. Some beasts came from time to time and got devoured by the aura that constantly seeped out of him.

After a week of devouring beasts he finally stirred, he sat up with a groan, lingered for a while before struggling to get up on his feets, after much work, he was finally able to stand upright, his body felt stiff because he had stayed in the same position for a whole week without moving.

Shian walked for a few steps before falling to the floor, he felt a splitting headache tear through his head. He grabbed his head and pulled at it with all his might, but it was to no avail as the head ache kept on increasing.

After some seconds that felt like hours, the headache stopped and he was finally able to move. Shian raised his head and was about to stand up until he saw a screen pop up in front of him.

Shian shook his head several times to try and get rid of whatever it was that was in his front. When he tried several times and I wasn't working, he left it.

"I'm seeing things, It will go away eventually."

Shian stood up again to go, his steps where wobbly but after walking for a few more steps he stabled them.

Shian looked around, he had crashed inside an empty laboratory and there were several large holes in the walls that lead directly outside, he ignored it and continued walking.

"It's a good thing this place was already deserted, if not I might have fallen into some chemical that I don't know what might have done to me."

He walked out of the laboratory into a hallway, he scrutinized his surroundings to make sure there was no beasts, he walked out and summoned his scythe. When he felt the hard and cold metal of his scythe in his hands, he felt safer.

'I wonder if that wolf is still there. hmm...I don't think so, after all I've been lying on the ground for a few days and it will have eaten me if it had the chance, maybe it couldn't get to me. I don't even know how long I passed out.'

Shian walked towards a door and slowly opened it, he found nothing in it except claw marks that looked to be made from beasts and blood splatters on the walls.

He continued until he had explored all the rooms and what he found was the same all over, claw marks and blood splatters on the walls.

He got to the end of the hall way and turned to his left, the exit was just ahead of him. He made a beeline towards it and left.

When he got outside, he was shocked by what he saw, the surroundings was denuded of those purple plants and any form of life.

He looked back at the building and once again saw several holes that looked like something was forced through it.

"What there hell really happened when I was passed out?" Shian mumbled.

Shian looked down at himself when he had this thought and it was then he finally saw himself.

Dried black and red blood was all over his skin, His hair which was previously black was now white and it had grown longer which was why he could see it, his callused hands were now smooth and his skin had become tanned. Though not really noticeable among all this features, he had become much more taller and muscular.

Shian was shocked because he didn't remember doing anything to warrant all the sudden change. He ignored it the same way he ignored the words that followed his vision anywhere he turned.

Shian went back into the building to find a portal that could take him back. He walked briskly into the building, happy to finally be able to head back to earth.

As he entered the building, he walked and then took a left turn because he had previously explored the other side of the building and found nothing. He began to search the rooms one after the other and eventually found what he was looking for.

In front of him was a portal that was blue in color, which indicated that it lead back to earth, Shian was happy and immediately jumped into it only to hit it, bounce back and fall to the ground. He hit the ground and screamed in pain.

pain?

"huh, why didn't I fell pain" Shian was stunned that he momentarily forgot that he had something to do. "I'll deal with this later."

Shian got up and thought why the portal didn't work.

"Oh yes, I didn't activate it".

Shian rummaged his space ring to bring out the crystals he had obtained previously.

He searched for them thoroughly but didn't find them.

"I've been robbed." Shian gasped. "Well, that's dumb since the only people that can be here are far stronger than me and won't need anything I have.

That leaves the other option, the beasts, but beasts are not smart enough to use a space ring, or maybe they are and I don't know, but they would have just eaten me instead." Shian found himself spouting nonsense in the middle of the room.

Shian was having all this thoughts, not knowing what had really happened.

"It seems like I will have to go and hunt beasts if I want to go back."
