Chapter Nine: A Bored and Confused Chaly

Everyone was in high spirits, celebrating their recent success. However, Chaly was feeling out of place. He was bored, couldn't seem to connect with anyone, and decided to leave the celebration. He went to his room, feeling tired, weak, and sleepy.

Jack noticed something was wrong with Chaly and followed him to his room. He knocked on the door, but there was no response. He tried again, and again, until finally, on the fourth attempt, he decided to force the door open. To his surprise, he found Chaly drinking a bottle of alcohol, something he had never seen him do before.

"Hey man, I've never seen you drink alcohol before. What's wrong, my friend? Talk to me," Jack said, looking at Chaly with sympathetic eyes.

Chaly cast a quick glance at Jack and suddenly spoke up. "What are you asking me for? I told you not to bring any other prisoners with you, but you disobeyed me. Now, we don't know where he is or what he's planning to do."

Jack tried to calm Chaly down. "Come on Chaly, that man was a good guy. He helped us find Spider, which we wouldn't have been able to do without him."

But Chaly was in a bad mood, his temper was flaring, and he shot back. "Nonsense! Get out of my room and remember, if you fail to follow my orders again, I'll do something to you that you'll never forget."

Jack left Chaly's room, regretting his decision to follow through on Chaly's promise.

Jack tried to shake off the cold that had settled in his body by drinking alcohol, but it was of no use. He could only think back to the morning at Bridge University when he and his best friends Chaly and Spider were running late for their computer class. The three of them were known as the "backbenchers" because they always sat in the back of the class.

As they were rushing to get to class, Jack spotted a beautiful girl walking towards them with her boyfriend. The girl had a warm, brown complexion and a charming smile with a small gap between her teeth. She was of medium build with a well-proportioned body. Jack and Spider were both struck by her beauty and stood still, staring at her.

Chaly snapped them out of their trance, "Guys, we have to go to class. We've missed several lessons already and you're going to make us miss this one too." he said, also looking at the girl. Jack, still in a daze, replied, "Go ahead if you want. You want me to leave behind those hips and those pretty eyes for a boring computer lesson?"

"Jack, don't be foolish," Chaly said with a hint of annoyance in his voice. "You want to miss the lesson because of a girl? There are so many girls out there, you'll find another one or you'll see her again another time. But this lesson, it's now or never."

Spider tried to calm Chaly down. "Come on guys, Chaly, just because someone is beautiful doesn't mean you have to miss the lesson for her. She might even have a boyfriend with her."

"That's not the point," Jack interjected. "Even if you're going shopping for clothes, you can't go naked. So why can't we go for this girl? I think God created her with a lot of care." Jack finished by kissing his fingers.

"But how?" Spider asked, confused. "How are we going to approach her?"

"It's simple," Chaly suggested. "Spider, why don't you try your luck and we'll wait for you here? I can see that Jack has already gone mad."

"I'm not mad," Jack protested, but when he looked at Spider, he realized that he had already left. Jack was disappointed, but there was nothing he could do about it.

As Spider walked, he noticed the man the lady had been talking to say goodbye to the boy and leave. The lady was still packing her books into her bag. Despite feeling nervous, Spider was also happy that the man was gone. He took a deep breath and approached the lady.

"Excuse me," he said, and the lady looked at him with a friendly smile. "I know this might seem random, but do you happen to know where AGA is?"

"I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with that," the lady replied.

Spider mustered up the courage to continue. "To be honest with you, you're very cute and I just had to come to say hi." The lady smiled again and said, "Hi there."

"I'm Spider," he introduced himself.

"Hi Spider, I'm Helena," the lady replied with a warm smile.

"Wow, that's a beautiful name," Spider said, impressed. "It's nice to meet you, Helena."

"Nice to meet you too, Spider," Helena said, and they exchanged a friendly greeting.

Suddenly, Jack appeared from nowhere and greeted the lady. He introduced himself as Jack and told her that Spider was his best friend and that Chaly, who had just arrived, was also a friend of his. The lady introduced herself as Helena. Jack complimented Helena and said that everything about her was cute, including her name. Jack then told Helena that they were students of computer science and that they were studying programming.

Helena was impressed and asked if programming was difficult. Jack proudly claimed that he was the best in their class and even in the entire school. Spider and Chaly remained silent as Jack's voice dominated the conversation. Helena commented on Jack's genius and how he spoke with confidence.

However, Helena had to leave and thanked them for the meeting. Spider mentioned that her boyfriend might find her there, but she clarified that Luke was just a classmate and not her boyfriend. She still had to go home. Chaly remained quiet, just observing the conversation.

"Welcome home, it's great to see you again," Chalk said as he greeted the lady spider. The deed did the same, and Jack offered to escort the lady home. However, Jack couldn't resist making an inappropriate remark. "I can see you're single, can I pursue that role?" he asked.

Radio, who had a habit of speaking nonsense, intervened. "Stop wasting your time and stay away," he warned Jack.

Despite Radio's warning, Jack persisted, but ultimately, Helena went home, leaving Jack disappointed. He was too afraid to follow Spider and Chaly, who was not pleased with Jack's intrusion into their conversation. Jack's behavior ruined the happy atmosphere that the three roommates, including the spider, shared. That night, Jack's wild behavior made everyone unhappy, and he couldn't even bring himself to eat his dinner.
