Chapter 3_An Accident.

“How dare you hit my girlfriend?” Rome yelled at Perseus.

Perseus stood his ground, not caring about what was going to happen next. “Since you want to make an act, I didn't hit her but pushed her, right? Who would have thought such a scheming bitch would fall by herself?"

“How dare you?” Roman demanded, his face turning red in anger.

“How dare he insult Roman's girlfriend?”

“He is looking for death.”

“I can't wait to see him die; his face disgusts me.” One of the female onlookers spat.

Celia, who was sitting on the floor, grinned at him. “He pushed me and even claims to do so.”

Roman helped her up and approached Perseus. Both of them glared at each other. Perseus knew that he was no match for Roman, but he had to keep a little bit of self-respect.

“You dare lay a finger on my girl? I am going to deal with you and get rid of all your fingers.” Roman poked him in the chest with his index finger. “You are just a loser that should be castrated and fed to the pigs.”

“What makes you any different from me?” He demanded, scowling back at the men that were slightly taller than him. “Money?”

A smirk curled up on Rowan's lips. “Yes, money changes everything, and you are not the same when it comes to money.”

Perseus stepped back from the man and dug his hand into his pocket. “Don't worry, she is going to leave you later for someone with more money than you. By then, don't say that I didn't warn you.”

Celia, who heard the words, walked up to Perseus and slapped him hard across the face. “How dare you speak that way about me?” Turning her gaze back to the students, she addressed them. “Don't you all forget that he threatened me to date him, and now he is being so cocky. I didn't date him, and I am with Roman, if he doesn't want it. Don't you think we should call the cops?”

“Yes, we have to get someone like him arrested.”

“He is a creep!”

“I wonder how many girls have done this too.”

“He is a man whore!”

“I am calling 911.”

The crowd went on and on, and Perseus winced from the insults that they were giving him.

Call the cops, Perseus eyes darkened, and his head hung low. “Do you have evidence for your accusations?”

“My accusations?” Her head snapped in his direction. “How dare a piece of trash like you say that I am accusing you?”

“What evidence do you have that shows that I threatened you? Weren't you the one who accepted my proposal? Weren't you the one who approached me later after I asked?”

“Stop lying!” She snarled.

Roman placed a hand on Celia's shoulder. “Stay back; I will handle this.”

Celia nodded with a huge grin on her face and stepped back. She stood behind Roman as he glared at Perseus.

“Well, what made you think that you were worthy of her?”

“I didn't say that!” Perseus muttered. “Why are you so dumb? We weren't talking about her; she is a cunt, and I deserve way better.”

“You!” Celia yelled as she tried to lunge at him, but Roman stopped her.

“You were talking about evidence, right?” Roman asked. “

“Exactly.”

“Then you will get one."

Perseus raised a brow at it. “Then where is it?”

“I am the evidence.” Roman grinned at him. “What were you expecting that I would give the evidence to you so that you could destroy it?”

A wide smile crossed Celia's face. “Someone call 911.” She ordered. “He has to be sentenced to jail.”

“He was only asking for the evidence to destroy it.”

“What an asshole?”

“Does he think that he stands a chance against Roman Sullivan?”

“Such a loser didn't know his place.”

“911 would be here soon, but we can let you off if you apologize to us,” Roman muttered. “Would you want to go to jail for this or apologize to us?”

“Apologize? Hah.” Perseus let out a bitter laugh. “I can't go to jail because there is no evidence with you.” He turned around to leave. “I wouldn't be spending any more time with you; I have a paycheck to take. Besides, I would have bought a swimsuit for you if we were still dating. Now my money is all to myself. If you were all mighty Rowan, why didn't she ask you to buy it for her?”

“You!” Roman yelled. “That's enough!” He grabbed Perseus by the shoulder and spun him around.

Before Perseus could blink, three punches hit his face, and he could hear the bone of his nose break. The crowd gasped as the sound of the police siren echoed in the distance.

One of the students stood in front of the others. “If we don't scram away from here, we are going to be questioned until we are drained. Who would want that?”

Panicking, all the students took off like they had appeared. In a matter of seconds, the crowd was gone.

Blood was dripping down Perseus's face as Roman continued to hit him. “How dare you speak to me like that?”

Celia, who was still there, tried to stop Roman. “If you don't leave him and escape, the cops are going to get you instead.”

Roman stopped punching the already weak Perseus, who was struggling to keep his eyes open.

“He could give them a testimony,” Roman muttered through clenched teeth. “I have to get rid of him completely.”

“How?”

“By throwing him at an upcoming vehicle.”

Gasp! Blood drained from Celia's face when she heard that. Instead of saying anything to stop Roman, she hurried into the sports car and hid in it.

Roman, on the other hand, reached for his pocket and pulled out a mask. Wearing it, he glanced at the fast-approaching car. Without a second thought, he threw Persues at the car.

Perseus life flashed in front of his eyes as he flew to his death. He couldn't believe he was going to die this way.

[Ding!]

[The system finally recognized its host.]

You have two choices: accept the system or live. [B::Reject the system and die miserably.]

Perseus, who was half-conscious, ignored the voice in his head and fell to the floor. The driver tried to dodge him, but it was already too late. The car crashed into him, and everything went blank.
