My Money Spendrift System

Chapter 4_System Activated.

“Where am I?” His eyes opened and connected to the white clothes that were covering his face.

Sitting up, he pushed the clothes off his body to see that he was in a hospital gown. He rubbed his head and glanced at it; there was no sign of bandage, nor were there signs of injury.

His face was surprisingly smooth for someone who had taken all of those punches.

“Why am I still alive?” He asked himself. “Didn't I die when that car hit me?”

[Ring!]

[To them, you are already dead.]

[Motherfucker, I asked you to accept the system to save your life, but you chose death instead.]

Perseus jumped like he had been shot and glanced around the room. There was no one in the room apart from the panel that was floating in front of him. The room was awfully cold, and he felt uncomfortable.

[To ask further questions, you need to accept the system. Do you accept the Money Spendrift Streaming System?]

[Yes or no?]

“What system? Shouldn't I be dead and lying on the roadside or something? Why am I here and alive?”

[You idiot, do you accept the system?]

[Yes or no?]

Since Perseus couldn't see who was talking to him, He got off the bed and headed for the outside. He took one glance at the system, and a confused look appeared on his face.

“Do they use this to track dead patients?”

[I am the one speaking to you, and I am not used to tracking dead patients! Do you accept the system?]

[Yes or no?]

Perseus flinched at the hard voice coming from the panel in front of him. “Is the voice coming from this panel?”

[Of course! [I am the one speaking to you.]

Persues forced himself to believe it. “Well, who is the one behind you and speaking?”

[No one.]

“I am not ready to be pranked after being tossed to death.”

He was about to pull the door open when a sudden electric current hit him. He shook vigorously until the current was gone.

[As a system, I could help you change your fate.]

Perseus was too shocked to hear that, but he was concerned by one thing. “Can the system make me wealthy?”

[Absolutely.]

[Now do you accept the system, yes or no?]

I was thinking of what he had gone through because of Celia and how she left him to die. A frown crossed his face, and he stared at the panel.

There were two options available, and they were yes and no. Perseus picked the yes option. Everything felt like a dream to him, but he was not ready to wake up anytime soon.

A warning table appeared on the panel, and he read it.

The system installation process is starting soon, and you are not allowed to doubt the ability of the system. [Full concentration is required, and no movements are allowed.]

“Would it hurt?”

[Speaking is not accepted either.]

“What the fuck! Tell me if it would hurt.” Perseus yelled, but it was of no use. The system automatically began installing, and since he had spoken, the process was pure torture.

[Congratulations! You have successfully installed the Money Spendrift Streaming System. [Missions will begin arriving as soon as you make your first move outside.]

Perseus couldn't feel his heartbeat before beginning to feel it. His breathing rate slowly returned to normal.

“You did it on purpose, didn't you?” He stared at the system in disdain.

[Well, that is what you get for making me go against the system rules to heal you.]

[Since you already accepted the system, the system will show its true form when you complete your first mission.]

[Host: Perseus Damon.]

[Level: 1]

[Strength: 10.]

[Dexterity: 10]

[Agility: 10]

[Defense; 8]

[Skill set: 0]

[Species: Loser Human.]

Perseus crooked his head to the side. “What can a system like you do? Can you explain what is on the panel?”

[Well, yes, the system can help you get everything you want in this life. Money, power, knowledge, skills, and anything you ever thought of. [Including women, you pervert.]

“I am not a pervert.” He retorted.

[Then why are you thinking of having a girlfriend now?]

[In this kind of condition, having such thoughts is stupid.]

“Why do you have to be rude?”

[That's just me!]

Perseus ruffled his hair in confusion. “What should I do to you?”

[Back to what I was saying previously. I will introduce all of the panel's information to you. You can check your level on the stats panel; the shop menu is locked until you get to level 5. You can level up by completing missions to earn points.]

The smell of disinfectant filled his nose, and he knew that it was time for him to leave. He opened the door and walked out of the ward that he was kept in.

[DING DONG!]

[Since the host has stepped out of the ward. $100,000,000 had been credited into the system account. As a first-timer, that is your reward.]

Persues froze, his jaw-dropping in astonishment. He glanced at the panel to see if it was joking, but the figures blurred his eyes.

Never had he had more than $1000 in his account at one goal, but now he had a hundred million dollars.

“Are you serious?"

[The money is all yours.]

"Oh, my God. I'm rich.’’ He yelled in excitement.

[RING! You have received your first mission. [Spend three million dollars in three minutes.]

[Reward: 1 full stat point and 250 points.]

[Punishment: If you fail to complete the mission, we will chop off your penis.]

As he mentioned his penis, Persues reached out to touch it. “That was harsh! Why are you cruel?”

[Two minutes, forty minutes left.]

Damn it!

Persues bolted for the hospital administration. As soon as he got to the desk, he slammed his hand against the table.

“I want to check out of this hospital!”

The nurse who was sitting across the desk raised her head to look at him. Blood drained, and she stared at him in terror.

“Ghost! There's a ghost."
