Chapter 6_At The Restaurant.

“Guys, guys, calm down.” Perseus walked over to them and stroked both of their heads.

His roommates were the only ones who genuinely liked him. They had been friends since high school, and they turned out to be roommates in college.

“It will be alright since she tried to kill me and ruin my reputation to make her feel good about herself. I will give her back tenfold.” His lips curled up into a smirk.

“What do we do next?” Orion asked.

“I want to be seen as healthy and alive, and I guess that it is going to ruin her too.”

“Do you need a livestreamer to go with us?” Tobias inquired.

Perseus peered at Tobias. “Who do you suggest?”

He hadn't thought about getting a livestreamer, but it would be great to have one that would show everyone that he was alive.

“Sherry Kim.” Orion blurted it out. “She is the most popular and beautiful livestreamer in the country.”

“And how do you think we can pay her?” Tobias retorted. “She attends this school, and she barely looks at us.”

Sherry Kim's name rang a bell in his head. That was when he remembered that she was the one he delivered the food to.

“What day is today?” He demanded.

“24.”

He had woken up after a day.

Perseus ignored the system and stared at his friends. “I can pay Sherry; you guys dress up. We are heading to a restaurant to eat.”

“How can you afford to eat out?” Orion demanded folding his arms. “Are you going to use the money for the swimsuit?”

Perseus dug his hand into his pocket. “Oops! I lost the paycheck.”

Before they could say more, he disappeared into the bathroom. But by the time he was out, they were already dressed and waiting for him.

“Let's go.” He muttered.

He was already fully clothed, but his hair was dripping wet. The three of them headed out for the dormitory; there was no one in the school building.

Perseus waved down a cab, and they got in. A few minutes later, they were standing in front of the most luxurious restaurant in town.

Orion and Tobias stared at him in awe as he headed into the restaurant. However, they refused to take a step forward, afraid that they wouldn't be able to afford it.

“Do you think he hit his head hard and forgot that we are poor?” Tobias whispered to Orion.

“How on earth did he think we could afford Freya-jo?”

Perseus who had been walking closer to the restaurant, glanced back to see that his friends were looking at him with clear confusion written on their faces.

“Come on, let's go in.” He yelled out to them.

Tobias and Orion decided to trust him since he looked confident. Just as they got inside the restaurant, a skinny girl came running towards them.

“Get out of the way!” She bellowed.

Both friends dove, but Perseus didn't, and she bumped into him. She held onto his shirt, not ready to let go.

“Sherry Kim?” Perseus inquired as he peered down at her.

She raised her head to look at him, and her eyes widened in surprise. “You are alive? Who was dead then?”

“Not me.” He glanced past her to the place she had been coming from. “Why were you running?”

Her teeth grated. “Even if you know, can you help me?”

He placed a finger on his chin. “Perhaps, if it has to do with money, I can.”

Sherry raised her brows in order not to laugh at what he said. Her body betrayed her, and she was laughing to her heart's content.

“You, money? Hahaha! Of all people, I will ask you to help me with money. I would ask others and won't spare you a glance. Although I don't hate poor people, I don't like liars.”

His brows furrowed, and he brushed past her. "Well, ask others then.”

He knew the system had told him to make her work for him, but he had a pride he wanted to uphold.

“Hmph! So cocky.” She grumbled as she watched him leave.

He walked into the restaurant with his friends, and they took a table. The waitress approached them to ask what they wanted. Before Perseus could open his mouth to speak, the corner of his eyes caught something at the entrance of the restaurant.

“You both order first.” He told his friend as he stood up to his feet.

They nodded and began making their order while he headed to where Sherry was standing with a lady and an older man.

“I told you to pay me that money for the vase you broke, and now you are eating at such a luxurious restaurant.” The lady yelled at Sherry, whose expression didn't look good either.

“I didn't break the vase on purpose."

"Well, you did break it; it had been with our family for a long time, and you have to pay for breaking it.”

“Didn’t you invite me to your house before it broke? I thought we were friends, and I have been paying for most of your expenses.

“What's that supposed to mean?” The lady demanded. “We were friends in the past, but after you broke that vase and refused to pay, We are no longer friends, and besides, I never saw you as a friend.”

“You!”

“Pay up, and if you can't, you will have to marry my brother.”

Sherry's eyes widened with disgust as she heard that. “You put that vase there on purpose, didn't you?”

The lady's eyes darkened. “Yeah, I did. What are you going to do? If you don't want your reputation ruined, pay up.”

The older man only stood with a wide grin on his face, ready to claim his girl.

“I don't have that amount of money now, and I wouldn't be able to pay for it.”

“Then marry my brother!”

“I won't! You are an asshole! A cunt! Do you think you are the only one who knows how to threaten someone?”

“How dare you speak to me like that?!” The lady demanded as she shoved Sherry.

Sherry lost her footing and almost fell, but Perseus caught her just in time.

“What are you trying to do? Bullying my little sister to get her to marry your good for nothing, brother?” He demanded as he glared at them.
