Volume 3PrologueFirst Person Point of ViewOwari’s Perspective________________After kidnapping the Empire soldier and interrogating him, I had heard the rumour spreading across the land. I had also found out the exact location where we could find the Lunar Blessing herb and future plans on how to use it.“I-I gave you everything I know, including the name of the next Captain!”‘Captain?’ I thought to himself, and pulled the poor Empire knight by his collar near to my face. “Say what? There’s a new Captain of the ocean… besides Captain Israel and Captain Blackbeard.”The rumour was… Captain Israel died in the hands of Captain Blackbeard. Captain Israel was the one who had technically saved and bought me some time for my wife, Elizabeth, and me to escape. But alas, it failed. Even though Captain Israel showed me some kindness, I still promised myself to kill every single pirate in front of me… until the end of the Kepler.“WHAT HAPPENED?!” I asked. But that was the extent of the Emp
Volume 3Third Person Point of View____________________After learning that Captain Israel had died and there were pirates heading towards the Lunar Treasure, Owari made haste and deployed a vessel of his own.Even though Captain Israel was the one who saved Owari’s life, he hated each and every pirate. He still vowed to himself to avenge his dead wife as well as the people who died on the battlefield. So, Owari hastily readied his ship and voyage overseas, trying to find the lost treasure he squeezed from the soldier from the Empire. With him was an army of elite soldiers equipped with missiles, grenades, and different powerful firearms enough to take over a country and even collapse the Empire. Owari left his child in the hands of the doctors he trusted. At least, that was what he had thought. Rex, who was a little boy that had just turned eight, didn’t know the reason why his father left him. However, Owari knew this was a bad idea. Knowing the pirates and the Kingdom, he thought
Captain Arata was slightly worse than Captain Israel. But he had a unique ability. He could copy one’s spell… or even two, to his advantage. And if his enemy refused to cast any spells, Arata had already mastered a special technique from his sabre sword.[Congratulations you are now level 72!][Current stats: After becoming the Captain of the Abandoned Barnacle ship!][Character Name]: {Kazuto, Arata} [Title(s)]: {Master of the arts of Thievery} {Captain of the Abandoned Barnacle Ship}[Species]: {Human} [Occupation]: {Pirate} {Captain}[Age]: {19-year-old} [Class]: {Thief} {Pirate}[Level 72] {Next Level-> 0/81,210 Experience}[Stat points]-{0}[STR]- 66 [VIT]- 75 [MEN]- 49[DEX]- 64 [INT]- 58 [LCK]-69[DMG]- 55[M. Throughout the journey of fighting monsters and slowly progressing towards the Black Grim Dragon’s Nest, Captain Arata noticed someone was following them. Little did he know that by the time he had turned around, Arata greeted a familiar face… which he didn’t wish to happen.“Kirameki?! What are you doing here?” I told you to stay on the ship?!”As it turned out, Kirameki followed Captain Arata all the way here, making sure she wouldn’t attract enemies and let herself be noticed by her big brother. However, Captain Arata had a map and a system. Arata thought at first that the blue spot on the map was just his teammates… or a glitch that even the system couldn’t answer. And it was, since this place was full of bugs, and the system couldn’t function properly as it had intended. When Captain Arata trusted his instincts and turned around, he eventually spotted her little sister hiding behind a rock. And then, the monsters chased her. So Arata saved his sister in the nick of time and foun
Captain Arata and the rest of his team were wandering for minutes… Those minutes turned into hours, and those hours turned into a few days. Thankfully, Captain Arata and his crew had not yet met anyone except for the reapers and other creatures lurking in this island. If those pirates from Captain Blackbeard’s faction arrived and harmed the Abandoned Barnacle, the ship itself would send a direct message to Captain Arata as well as Margarette and the rest of the pirates. The best opponents, for now, they handled were those aforementioned beasts, as well as the horrific environment. Thankfully, Kirameki continued following her big brother’s words and stayed on the sideline. Captain Arata couldn’t help but assign Francoise and the others to focus on saving Kirameki, since she was the only family member she had. Although this was selfish to the rest of the pirates, Francoise and Azure understood that Kirameki also helped the Horizon community, and it was natural for the rest of the pirate
The short route was just impossible for Kirameki to travel. And it would only be possible if they were flying or had a truck with four wheels that could travel through the rocky road. Since they didn’t have any of those, Arata did everything he could as he and his team travelled to the longer side of the map and battled against swarms of monsters. The difference between taking the shorter route was the absence of monsters. But one had to go to the other. Instead of crying over spilled milk, Arata and his team proceeded to the longer route and deduced they would arrive at the treasure site where they could see the Lunar Blessing. The monsters, once more, did not pose any threat against Captain Arata. He was too overpowered. The only creatures he had most trouble with was when he was paired up against hovering insect-like creatures that attacked both of his team and Kirameki. Azure and the others could protect themselves, but Kirameki couldn’t. Arata had to constantly look out for his
The Black Grim Dragon’s Nest was notorious when it came to monsters. And dragons lurked in the area. Some people believed that these mythical creatures did not exist. Little did they know that these dragons were just slumbering elsewhere, specifically on this island. The Hydra was still a few miles away, so Owari had to walk more than what he had intended to. If the people behind his back created a base just a few kilometres away, Owari couldn’t help but to worry about their safety. He didn’t know what kind of spells awaited him against the dragon. Although Owari was confident enough with his skill, he didn’t want to waste any more time protecting the people behind him.So Owari made sure that the base the soldiers created was a few miles away. And just to be sure, Owari had also cast a protective spell, in case a random spell conjured by the Hydra would hit them. Not to mention, Owari was on a timer. Forty hours or one day was too much… But he knew that if a Hydra showed up, other mo
After firing the magical spell to the Hydra, the dragon… was no more. When the dust settled in, the last thing Owari saw was a cloud of dust. This smog didn’t come from his spell but from the dragon who vanished and was defeated. Soon after, Owari returned to the base after six hours, telling everyone the Hydra died.It took Owari six hours to arrive on the base, not because the fight took too long, but because the travel time was a menace. He didn’t want to use a bike, since he knew it might be destroyed during the battle, and their transportation device, despite having spare, would slow down their progress. It was better to be safe than to be sorry. As soon as Owari arrived, the soldiers waiting and guarding the post cheered and chanted for his name.“OWARI! OWARI! OWARI!” “I KNEW YOU’D COME BACK!”In the middle of it all, there were also monsters appearing from left and right. These were the tigers the system had introduced at the other route. And somehow, a few wandered about. T
