The paramedics froze and immediately Eva stood up, holding onto her bandaged shoulder. Her broken knee didn't let her walk well and Erin had to rush forward to hold her.

“But you are not fine yet. You have lost a lot of blood.” The paramedics tried to stop her.

“It doesn't matter. I will be fine as long as I have stopped bleeding.” Eva shook her head. “I don’t want to go with them. Take me away.” Eva pleaded with Erin. She knew that Killeen could get her anytime soon since he escaped, and the City Hospital was a place he could go into freely, just like the last time she was locked up and monitored in the hospital.

Erin pursed her lips as she also had the same thought as Eva.

“I will take you home.” She whispered to Eva. “Come, walk slowly, Ethan is waiting for us.”

Eva nodded and they started to walk away from the ambulance. The paramedics could do nothing since they said they didn't want any more treatment. Their bill would be wired to them later, anyway.
