Erin did not look back as she bolted for the door. She was not scared for her life but she did not agree with what Ethan had just told her.

She was a police officer and she believed all offense was supposed to be brought to the law. No one had the right to take laws into their own hands and therefore, Ethan was no different from a criminal.

“Erin!” Ethan ran after her. She was already running down the stairs, and she sprinted toward the front door not caring if anyone was going to stop her.
