Erin’s Crime

Ray escorted Erin out, with Mason and one other man behind them.

“Get in,” Ray ordered, pointing at a car parked before the mansion.

“What is this about?” She asked, folding her hands with an annoyed look.

“I guess your chief would like to see you after you were absent for days.” Ray chuckled and pointed at the car door again.

However, Erin was in disbelief and was also confused about what he wanted. “Are you letting me go?” She had high hopes.

“Of course not.” Ray chuckled, his eyes going dim like he was scheming something. “I just want to let you see the outside world.”

“And when you are back here, you can make your final decision.”

Erin realized what was going on and she chuckled, while she shook her head. Ray had probably prepared something that would change her mind but she didn't think she was ready to change her own mind.

Without another word, she got into the car with Mason and the other man.
