Chris had prepared dinner knowing his wife was finally coming home from the business trip, The doorbell ringing was a sign that she had arrived, he wondered why he hadn't heard her car engine but that made him realize how deep in thought he was. He wiped off his hand on a clean towel and walked towards the door turning the knob and opening it. Aria immediately joined him happily like a child who was meeting her father after a school vacation.
"I miss you, honey." She beamed with joy placing playful kisses on his face. "Did my handsome hubby miss me?"
Chris was nervous that he had to reveal the package he had received earlier and didn't know how she would react, would the truth be found or tell more lies or it was just a vivid misconception all along?
"Yes, I am babe." He smiled trailing his eyes down her body once she was on her feet, she wore a black long-sleeve fitted dress that revealed her petite yet alluring figure that was a thirst trap for most men. Seeing her dressed like this reminded him of the first time he had seen her and how captivating she was, she was still as dazzling as ever and he was more than happy to see how she was getting even more beautiful after five years of their union.
His gaze went to her dress again wondering why she was wearing a long-sleeve dress since the weather here was not cold at all. But he didn't bother to think too much about it.
"The whole place is spotless, that I'm always thankful for." She praised him while pulling her trolley box behind her and observing the living room, Chris locked the door behind him and turned towards her smiling.
"It's the least I can do, baby." He smiled graciously at her.
"Aw, that's so nice of you." She blew him a kiss. One way did as a comment if he did something she liked, he hugged the air as a way of accepting it and they both burst into laughter.
"I'm preparing dinner, it's almost ready," Chris announced.
"Oh my, that's wonderful, I was so hungry and craving your delicacies but seems you already had me in mind." She pecked him on the lips as they both walked into the kitchen together. Chris stared at her noticing she was commending him rather more today which rarely happens since she always complained that she was tired when she came back from work.
"Was she trying to cover up something by flattering me?" He thought to himself trying not to let out a nervous laugh. He loved how happy she was at the moment and didn't want to ruin this illusion by trying to engrave secrets within he didn't bother to raise the issue of the tutu until he was sure it was the right time but it kept eating him up.
"Why don't you have your seat while I serve you today." He offered to smile at her, she did a little dance of happiness that she was going to be pampered, she placed another gentle kiss on his cheek.
"I'm glad I married such a gentleman." She praised him caressing his face before walking to the dining section in the kitchen as he placed the food on the table, he helped her dish put hers on her plate, and did likewise to his before taking a seat.
"So how was your trip?" He asked staring at her intensely as if trying to figure out what her body language would be different from her response but she seemed to have expected the question.
"Exhausting." She simply replied shrugging and drinking her soup. She slowly looked up at him as if reading him to know why he was asking such a question. He didn't bother to ask her any more questions and they ate in silence, when they were fine, he did the dishes while she went to have her shower before going to bed since it was already night.
Chris sat on the bed on his phone when his wife Aria walked from the bathroom into the bedroom ready dressed in sleeve pajamas, he scrunched his face questionably as he sat on his bed with his phone in hand. She rarely wore long sleeves when home with him which was shocking but he didn't bother to question her about it, she walked to the bed leaning on his chest while caressing it, he was enjoying it but remembered he had to question her urgently. He slowly pulled away from her walking towards the closet where he kept it.
"Honey, where are you going?" She whined stretching her hands for him to come back, he took out the skirt and hid the socks in his pocket, he showed her the skirt and she smiled in joy looking up at him. "Did you get a gift for me?" He stared at her slightly trying to figure out if she was pretending not to know it was her dress or she hadn't figured it out just yet.
"Don't you recall that it's your skirt?" He asked and the smile on her face slowly faded away replaced with a look of confusion as she slowly sat up on the bed. He carried the skirt from her and showed her the flower she had embroidered While looking at her reaction, she seemed to be in shock. His eyes fervently going sideways as if searching for something, she avoided his gaze which she hadn't done since she came home, he looked as though she was hiding something and that gave him all the more reason to be suspicious of her, she didn't seem to be herself as she was now more nervous and distant as her gaze was now in the skirt staring as though it was alien. Could it be that his suspicions were correct, Chris couldn't help but be nervous hoping his hunch wasn't right.
His wife stared at him for a while still figuring out what to say and was in absolute shock staring at her skirt as though it had brought some sort of memory, his lips were trembling as though she was talking but in fact, she wasn't at all saying anything. Chris gazed at her as if confirming his hunch was right all along, his chest felt tight like he was about to suffocate in pain."This can't be true right?" He thought to himself shifting his gaze on one knee, it was as though everything was moving quote slowly and he hated every second he gazed at her and she hadn't said a word yet.Aria let out a sigh to calm herself before clicking her thumb as she quickly did. "Now I remember." She chimed gazing at him. He tilted his head waiting for her to be more detailed about what she meant."I had worn this skirt for a show to dance then washed it and hung it on the balcony but then I couldn't find it when I went to retrieve it later." She explained. "I thought it had been blown by the wind
"On second thought." His wife turned to look at him smiling mischievously. "Let's do it because I miss you." She placed a kiss on his lips, he was taken back at first but turned on right in the moment. He trailed wet kisses on her neck but she quickly stopped him."Wait." He stared down at her wondering why she wanted him to stop. "Turn off the light." She implored him not to think too much of it and stood up from the bed turning the lights off leaving only the dim bedside lamps so he could at least see his way around the room. He slowly took off her pajamas and placed wet kisses on her body, Every touch was sensational on her skin and she felt so good. She shut her eyes, falling asleep exhausted by their activities earlier. Chris stood from the bed turned the light and went back to the bed to see his wife's beautiful face, She looked like a perfect and flawless creature fallen from heaven. He noticed that she had put on her pajamas again and wondered why since she always felt unusual
"Are you implying that I lied to you?" She rolled her eyes at him seeming annoyed but he didn't say anything to her so she continued. "We were all divided into three groups, robbers, policemen, and hostages, The hostages were tied by the wrist, and although I was chosen to be one of the robbers, a colleague of mine Tracy complained about switching places with me and I did." She shrugged, pouting her lips as she stared at her wrists with a frown."I didn't expect it to be too tight that would cause my wrist to redden, that's why I wore the long-sleeved pajamas knowing you were going to be annoyed when you saw me hurt." She pouted her lips staring at him with angel eyes but Chris didn't look as though he believed a single word she had just said and she noticed that. "If you don't believe me then I can call her in front of you." Chris was still silent and finding a fault in whatever lies she just spoke but nothing came to mind, it was so perfectly planned that he could not question it,
Chris dialed the number that had just texted him but it was switched off which angered him, How could anyone sprout such nonsense and be scared to talk afterward?Just then someone called his phone and saw it was his assistant at his company, he immediately answered the call placing the phone on his ear."Good morning sir." His assistant Marcus greeted. "There's a situation." He sounded distressed and Chris knew instantly that something was wrong."What do you mean there's a situation?" Chris questioned making his way back to his car."Well there is a large painting on the company building with the word shame," Marcus explained, Chris paused for a second wondering if it was the person that had a person that had texted him initially, he couldn't think of another person who would do such a thing."Well do so things about it before it causes any issues, Also have you been able to find out the culprit?""No one has been brought forward yet but I'm on it, sir.""Good, I'll be on my way the
"Spit it out, what's wrong." Chris urged him as he wondered what he wanted to say that was so hard to spit out. He was having a bad day already and the suspense wasn't at all helping matters, he gently tapped his fingers on the table."I came to town a few days back and stayed in Lenora Hotel but something caught my attention." Brian began to say after so much hesitation."What is that?" Chris asked, getting tired of the suspense Brian was giving him. He leaned back in his chair "Not to say that she's cheating on you but it's just something I observed and wanted to be sure.""What do you mean?" Chris furrowed his brows"I couldn't see them quite well but I know your wife when I see her…. The man was about the same height as you if not taller and he had tattoos on his hand, I couldn't see his face." Brian explained. "When they were about to leave he called her name.""How sure are you that it was my wife you saw?" Chris asked."He called her Ari." Chris was dumbstruck trying to proces
Brian and Chris both arrived at the hotel and casually walked in but before they got to the reception, Chris told Brian how to go about requesting for the CCTV footage for it to be easier for them."I'm sorry but I cannot allow you access to that sir." The receptionist said plainly and casually resumed her work. She liked white young and beautiful yet charismatic, Brian who is known to be a player wasn't in the mood to pull anything off as the situation was a matter of emergency, that could either break a marriage or clear doubts in the air."What nonsense is this? Do you have any idea how much that Rolex watch costs?" Brian snapped at her angrily but still, she wasn't shaken by those words."I cannot let you sir, please understand." She told him. "Could you tell me your name so I could search from our records if you had booked our hotel, From there I can take you back to the room you stayed in and do a thorough search.""Brian Owens." He told her adjusting his sunglasses as he looked
Chris squinted his eyes and finally realized it was not who he assumed but it was someone unexpected, he knocked frantically on the window causing the two to stop exchanging saliva, the lady turned to see who it was that had disturbed her session and was even more shocked, filled with terror that she began to tremble. Susan quickly got out of the car trying to calm herself down, She pushed down her dress to make it longer, staring into Chris's eye to eye. She was still in shock and trying to get a hold of herself in this situation. She was wearing a quite revealing dress exposing her gigantic boobs, the dress was fitted revealing her nice shape and flawless skin. "What are you doing here?" She questioned like shhadn't't done anything bad a few seconds ago, She tidied up her hair which was now loose, and stared away from him "That's not your husband," Chris informed her like she didn't already know, if this was what his wife's friend was doing behind her husband's back then his wife
"Tell me about the dancing at the party." Chris inquired but she hesitated for a moment to recollect memories of that day as she wriggled her fingers slowly looking up at him. He glared down at her trying to contain himself but the frustration he felt was beyond what he could imagine, he still couldn't bring himself to believe all this was happening no matter how many times the truth was glaring at him in the face, he believed his dear wife would blnever think of doing that to him. "It wasn't a normal party." She looked up quite terrified wondering if it was okay to say it or not but she had no choice than to do so. "It was a performance arranged by our manager for us to dance in front of rich men." Susan dropped her gaze to the floor trying to hold back the embarrassment and guilt she felt. Chris was horrified by the thought of his wife doing such a thing, was it because of money, if so he had more than enough, was it because she was loosing interest in him? That didn't seem to be th
