Chapter One Hundred and Forty-Two.

The Chief Warden marched out of his office with heavy steps. This aura emitted superiority and power.

"Bring them out!" He ordered and the guards creaked the doors of the prison open.

Declan and May looked up at them in shock. The three guards that stormed into their cell didn't look like they came to play at all.

"What's going on?" May asked, panicking. She shifted closer to Declan in fret.

"Just stay still, May." Declan tried to calm her down.

"What's the meaning of this?" Declan asked The Chief Warden.

The chief warden did not reply to him but instead, he turned to his men and growled. "Now!"

The guards immediately grabbed May and hauled her away from Declan's side.

"No—No! Let me go!" May screamed, struggling to get off their grip.

Declan immediately sprang up to go after her but more men blocked his way.

"Don't do anything Declan, this is them trying to provoke you! I will be fine!" May yelled as they dragged her away.

Declan's gaze followed her out and his features darkened
