Chapter One Hundred and Sixty-Six.

"May, I said you should wait!"

Clara yelled, going after her daughter

She caught up with her and pulled her hand to stop her.

"Let me go!" May yelled, snatching her hand away from her mom's grip.

Clara frowned deeply, anger rising up from her belly, she immediately struck her hand across May's face in a slap.

"Ahh!"

May sighed, holding her face with both hands.

"You slapped me?!" Her eyes flashed in shock at her mom.

"And I will slap you again and again! How dare you? You just ruined everything for me!" Clara yelled, her eyes flashing in anger.

May shook her head to the sides in disbelief. How could her mom do this to her? Because of a man they barely knew.

"I hate you mom. So much!" May seethed and ran to their car.

Clara gasped at May's words. She hadn't seen that coming.

" uhm— sweetie, wait!"

Clara went back to the table shortly after. Robinson had paused eating, waiting for them to return.

"Is she alright?"

He asked with concern when Clara came back alone.
