"Here, it's not a bomb." Declan almost chuckled at their fearful faces.

"Then what? Show us what it is." Clara demanded.

Declan first brought out an envelope. "It's a letter, addressed to Ms. William."

"Me?"

"Yes. And a gift" Declan concluded by bringing out a small plant in a glass vase. Clara and May exchanged surprised glances.

Now seated at their dining table, Clara and May gawked at the letter and plant vase before them. Declan was still with them, they had asked him not to leave until they read the content of the letter.

"Can you read it now?" Declan asked for the uptempt time and May nodded frantically. She took the letter and her hands shook as she opened it.

"An apology letter?" She gaped looking up at Declan.

"What?!" Clara snatched the paper from her hand and skimmed through the lines . "Spade Fraternity is apologizing for the damages the knight caused us and is asking us to accept their gift!" Clara couldn't believe her eyes. How was that possible?
