"Look at him," one of the security guards chided, pointing a finger in the direction of Gavin who had almost been knocked down into the floor. "I told you that he would be chased out of the office. Did I not bet on it?"

The other security guards laughed. It seemed they had all placed bets on whether or not Gavin would be chased out, and the winner was about to get paid for betting right. They laughed despite that most of them were losing money to the one who had won the bet.

Gavin felt angered and stared daggers into their souls. One of the men stood up.

"Oh, you look angry. What are you even going to do about it, you bloke? Can you even do anything about it?"

Gavin stood upright.

"And why do you think I want to do anything about it?" he asked, smirking despite the situation that he was in. "Some things are left broken. They cannot get fixed. Things like the lot of you."
