004

Teeeng!

When the bell rang, two people rushed directly at each other. They hit each other, and they want to knock each other out. Or just one of the most ambitious men to hit. Because it turns out Theodore looks more limp than usual. He also cannot move steadily and tends to falter. His face was pale with dull black eyes. Moreover, his scars still adorn his face. He looks like a Walking Dead Man.

 BUUGH!

 BUGGHH!

Blow after blow floated across his face. Instantly making Theodore falter and fall to cross the boundary line. Everyone cheered on the victory of the other wrestlers. Some cursed Theo for losing. They don’t care about the helplessness, Theo.

Theo knows he won’t get paid for losing the match, so he can only walk out hard. Theo felt pain all over his body; the wounds from the previous match were still not healed, and he had no money for treatment. All he had was a piece of bread left over two days ago. Not knowing if it was still edible, Theo had no choice but to eat it or faint from hunger.

Unfortunately, before he had time to devour the bread, his body wavered and fell to the dirty Ground.

The eyelids slowly opened, showing a pair of eyes of different colours that were so beautiful. He blinked briefly as a form of adaptation to the new environment. Realizing that this is not where he lives, Theo immediately tries to get up. However, his fragile body lacked energy and instead caused him pain.

“Ughhh...” Theo winced in pain.

“Don’t move too much first.”

Theo immediately turned his face to the origin of the sound, where he found the figure of a middle-aged woman approaching while carrying a tray filled with bowls. Instead of obeying, Theo panicked even more and tried to leave this place at this very moment. Unfortunately, he was still not recovering well, so he was stuck in bed in constant pain.

“I told you,” the woman said. “Don’t move much.” She put the tray on the nightstand near the bed. Theo watched all the movements of the foreign woman very vigilantly. Like a wild Lynx unfamiliar to humans. “Eat, you have to recover first.”

At first, Theo wanted to refuse, but the delicious smell emanating from the bowl and his stomach, which had been messed up, made him unable to dodge and immediately grabbed the bowl nearby. The contents of the bowl are porridge with minced meat and meatballs inside. Theo devoured it. In his life, he had never tasted such delicacies. He should not even hesitate to maintain good manners while eating.

“Oh, my God... eat slowly so you don’t choke.”

Theo ignored the advice of the foreign woman and continued to devour the porridge until it was finished. Theo does not hesitate to lick the remains of the porridge left at the bottom of the bowl until a strange woman pulls the empty bowl back from Theo.

“You can get this food for free without hurting yourself again,” the woman said. “As long as you stay here.”

Theo was wide-eyed at the words of this woman. How can people be easily offered a place to stay when it is the first time they have met? Of course, Theo flatly refused the offer.

“Sorry, this is not my place,” he said. “I have to go now. Thanks for the food.” Theo lowered his head momentarily before trying to lift his body to leave this place. But the pain still covered her whole body. Theo bit his lips, holding back the grimace that could come out. After all, he had to leave this place before something terrible happened.

“You can leave after recovering,” the woman said. “I promise not to force you to stay if you want to stay for a few days while healing yourself.”

The offer was enough to make Theo hesitate. On the one hand, he needs shelter and medicine to heal his wounds, but on the other hand, he cannot repeat the same bad events.

“If you’re afraid of being mistreated, believe me, this is the safest place I’ve deliberately built to help people like you. In this place, you can live like a normal person. Nothing will set you apart from other kids.”

Theo was stunned. He paid close attention to the woman’s words. Even so, Theo still didn’t understand what the foreign woman said. Until the door of the room opened. Then, a boy who was the same age as Theo entered.

“Excuse me, Madam Liz, this is the medicine you need.”

A boy with bright yellow eyes like a wild cat. He has long blonde hair like a princess. Theo felt the same aura as himself. Like... it has the same magical power as him. Owner of Odd Eye Circle, a person with Tyr Gods Syndrome.

“Thank you, Jared,” replied the foreign woman, Madam Liz. “Come here for a while and meet your new friend.”

A boy named Jared approaches Theo and Madam Liz. A wide smile adorned his face as if he had never felt suffering before, as if nothing had hurt him all this time. “Hi... I’m Jared, what’s your name?” Jared held out his hand in front of Theo.

Theo just looked at it with no intention of returning a helping hand. He looked hesitantly but then began to move his mouth. “Theo... My Name Is Theodore.”

Jared smiled broadly and grabbed Theo’s hand without prior approval. “Nice to meet you, Theodore; let’s be friends!”

That someone other than himself has strange eyes makes Theo change his decision. Theo thought it wasn’t his fault to stay a few days in this place. As Madam Liz said, he could live like an average person in this place without being shrouded in fear.

“Yeah, let’s be friends,” Theo replied.
