MANTIS QUEEN

Looking at the praying mantis it seemed special, as if it was there and not there at the same time, anytime Jason blinked it would take some time to see the mantis again and it was standing still, if it was moving it would be hard to follow with your eyes.

Looking at the towering mantis as tall as two grown men having a standoff with the ant the size of a small car, Jason took a step backwards as he viewed the stats of the newcomer.

Looking at the stats of the mantis queen Jason felt uneasy as the only advantage the ant had over the praying mantises it previously fought before was the fact that it had a domain. Looking at the mantis who previously was standing there Jason let out a gasp of astonishment as he could not find it anymore "fast, too fast" that was what Jason thought as he saw the mantis running around the ant moving at speeds of close to 230 kilometers per second.

The ant who had already activated its gravity domain let out a shriek looking ready to fight, looking at the ant as it lowered its legs a little clearly it was more serious than before as small pieces of soil and stones buried in the earth started floating up slowly a few feet in the air it made up an interesting display.

                                Moving around the giant ant, the praying mantis appeared and disappeared from sight as it circled the ant as if looking for an opening, its movement seemed to annoy the giant ant as it let out a shriek in frustration, and then as if seeing the opening it was looking for the praying mantis rushed forward as it silently hacked downwards its razor like arm carrying the full force of the wind, but before the attack could connect, it suddenly moved backwards at an extremely fast speed "why is it moving back" thought Jason but before he could think anymore a loud noise sounded out BAM! The sound was so short and loud that Jason's body shook a little as he was giving a shock.

When the mantis was moving forward and its attack almost at its target it suddenly felt overwhelming danger coming from above, a stone the size of a watermelon had fallen down, at an extremely fast speed, as it hit the ground with overwhelming force destroying the grass and soil its way and leaving a terrifying spider web like crack on the ground.

Wow, thought Jason as he was astonished, the small bits of stones and soil had melded together, pulling at each other like magnets and forming large chunks of heavy matter in the air, looking at the chunks of matter Jason thought "I have to get a domain, as he watched the two monsters fight, he couldn't d******d skills in the hunting dimension like he could in real life, and even if he could, the d******ding system could only be used for skills and manuals and could not be used to d******d something like a domain, he would have to kill the target first and hope that it dropped a domain in the gift box.

Looking back at the fight in front of him Jason watched as the mantis activated its domain, "it's getting serious Jason thought as he took another step back, the wind in the surroundings seemed to pause for a moment as the mantis took another step forward to continue its fight with the giant ant, "BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM!" the sound of falling stones filled his ears as huge lumps of stones and soil fell down at an alarming speed leaving web like cracks on the ground.

As it had already activated its domain the praying mantis had a much easier time dodging the floating balls, the lumps of soil and stones where falling at a crushingly fast speed due to the sudden increase in gravity, but the shocking speed also meant more wind resistance which the praying mantis could feel very clearly, and due to its domain being activated, the feeling was amplified a hundred times over, you might be better of telling the mantis where the rocks where going to drop.

Moving from side to side the mantis nimbly dodged the falling lumps of soil as it got closer to its opponent, seeing the mantis getting closer and closer the ant let out a shriek in frustration as all the floating rocks previously floating in the air all dropped at once "BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM!" the sound of rocks hitting the ground rang out continuously, dust rose into the air as the field was destroyed even more.

Watching the whole scene from afar Jason was filled with awe, "I'm still not strong enough" he said to himself as he watched the frightening bugs fight.

The dust eventually settled down but Jason or the ant did not see the smashed body of the mantis, not finding the body of the mantis the ant looked around but could not find anything, the mantis queen had supposedly disappeared.

Suddenly whoosh! The sound of wind tearing was heard as the giant mantis had pierced the exoskeleton of the ant, leaving a gushing wound in its abdomen, Shhhhhhhriek! The sound of a long shriek resounded out as the ant turned around as it bit ferociously at the mantis, Pa! The sound of its pinchers clamping together was heard but it was to no avail as the mantis queen was too fast.

Circling around the ant the mantis queen would once in a while attack the ant, and by now the ants body was filled with injuries as it was getting slower, looking at the mantis Jason shook his head as he knew it would fall soon the mantis was more skilled at fighting, and as expected after a few hours of struggle the ant finally fell.

Seeing that the ant had fallen Jason rushed forward like a mad man intending to pick up the cards that dropped from the ant. He knew that the mantis would notice him as soon as the fight was over so he took the chance to rush over first "I need to get that domain" was the only thing on Jason's mind as he foolishly ran forward, reaching his desired target Jason managed to pick some cards from the floor until he felt the gaze of the praying mantis, raising his head up and meeting the gaze of the mantis queen Jason said with a smile on his lips "hello there bi….." but before he could finish what he wanted to say he was stabbed in the chest.

Opening his eyes and looking at the time Jason let out a breath "looks like I'm getting use to dying" he muttered to himself, looking at his stats Jason let out a smile

                        Looking at his stats Jason couldn't stop smiling as he had gotten the card he wanted the most, the gravity domain, as he had seen the power of a domain, Jason blindly put 120 bank attributes into in, growing his domain from the original 1 to 121 "the ant had an advantage when it used the gravity domain, it didn't have any strong skills but it was able to push forward because of its domain.

Looking at the time Jason muttered to himself "its 3:45am" climbing out of the window Jason decided to test what his gravity domain could do as a colorless and formless energy spread around him reaching about a 34 meter radius it was not as big as the ant which could easily reach a distance of about 76.4 meter radius but it was a start.

Isolating himself from the gravity in the surroundings Jason could feel his body become much lighter as he could easily Jump higher than before, take note that as Jason was an awakened he could easily Jump higher that any normal human could think of, feeling satisfied with his newly found strength Jason tested his skills with the gravity domain and discovered any of his attacks was three times faster than before and if he activated burst then it would be six times faster as burst could double his original speed.

After he was done with the testing Jason opened his hand as a dagger with a sharp razor like blade magically appeared, it looked like the mantis blade like arm and look like it was made with extraordinary materials, as it could bear the full force of the mantis attack without breaking, it was the dagger Jason was using all this time, the mantis dagger, opening its second hand a new dagger that looked identical to the old one appeared, it was the new dagger he got after stealing a kill from the ant.

Looking at the new dagger to any normal person it didn't have much of a difference from the old one but to genetic warriors it bore a huge difference to any ordinary weapon because it could conduct genetic energy, this kind of weapons where the kind of weapons that bore genetic engravings on them, an art form made by the fire emperor blaze 5th on the list of the top ten strongest, the mantis dagger as the name implied was a dagger that was from a dead mantis as the dagger was from a monster that uses the wind talent the dagger could also be used best by wind users if somebody used the dagger with an earth or fire talent the power would be drastically reduced fortunately Jason had a wind talent, so he could use it quite well.

As he was done with his testing Jason decided to go back to sleep as he climbed back up the window, he looked at the time, it was already 4:00am, laying on his bed Jason thought about the crazy week he had, "fortunately I got suspended" he said to himself  Jason was looking forward to the day he could get much stronger than he was now, people in rank F where as many as the clouds in the sky even if you had no talent, if you had the money you could use rare materials to cultivate yourself to rank F so it was not abnormal that he was at rank F-level 5 at such age thinking about all this he called out stats.

Note normal people could only unlock about 20 percent if they cultivated normally and talented people could unlock about 30 to 35 percent of their level the once in a lifetime talents could unlock about 40 percent which was the limit to how far the anyone had ever unlocked, even Horatio himself could only unlock about 46 percent of a levels total potential as anymore cultivation and you would explode, the only way to increase it was to use special manual's which might harm you in the process.

But Jason as he had a bug could easily train past that limit and reach the real limit which was a hundred percent using his body's full potential and being able to fight with a normal F level 10 without a domain.

Feeling satisfied with himself Jason went to sleep with a smile on his face. As he slept his alarm clock kept ringing but Jason did not react as he was mentally exhausted, feeling the presence of someone nearby Jason opened his eyes to see Anna's little face looking at him.
