Chapter 5: Continuous Slaps!

Mr. Marshall, excited, asked: "Mr. Lewis, who sent all this?"

Mr. Lewis glanced subtly at Alexander, who was frowning slightly, and replied: "The Reynolds family."

The Reynolds family?

The Marshall family members were all puzzled, not understanding.

What Reynolds family?

"Mr. Lewis, this Reynolds family..." Mr. Marshall began to ask politely, having already grasped the situation from the conversation earlier.

The Reynolds family sent such valuable medical equipment and drugs, showing their status and power were far beyond what the Marshall family could compare to.

Mr. Lewis just smiled, looking at Alexander, and said: "I only came to deliver the items; I don't know the rest."

With that, he left the hospital room.

Immediately, the people in the room fell silent.

"Who exactly is this Reynolds family, and why did they send these things? Does anyone know anyone from the Reynolds family?" Mr. Marshall asked.

The Marshall family members shook their heads.

"Grandpa, maybe it's Alexander." Tommy smiled mockingly, his eyes filled with disdain.

Alexander Reynolds?

Everyone turned their eyes towards Alexander standing nearby.

Ha ha.

How could it be him, a well-known useless person who brought shame to the Marshall family in Golden Harbor, having such power?

"Tommy, stop joking. We all know what Alexander is, nothing more than a lump of mud." Valeria mocked.

She looked down on Alexander and wondered what her daughter saw in him in the first place.

"Well, find out in the next few days if there's a Reynolds family in Golden Harbor." Mr. Marshall said.

"Eleanor, are you sure you haven't been involved with some rich man outside?"

At this point, Laurie Marshall, the daughter of the third branch of the Marshall family, smiled faintly.

She looked down on her cousin Eleanor, who used to be more favored than her in the Marshall family.

Growing up, Eleanor had a good reputation in Golden Harbor, even being called the most beautiful goddess of Golden Harbor, with the nickname of the leader of the four golden flowers of Golden Harbor.

But all of this ended after she married a useless man.

As soon as Laurie Marshall said this, the Marshall family members all looked at Eleanor and Alexander with mocking expressions.

Cheating, right?

Various strange glances made Eleanor very uncomfortable, and she immediately said coldly: "Laurie, don't talk nonsense, I don't know any Reynolds family at all!"

As she said this, she glanced at Alexander beside her.

Could it be him?

If it was him, then why endure grievances for four years?

"Enough, everyone stop talking." Mr. Marshall interrupted the discussion, his eyes falling on Alexander, and said in a deep voice: "The divorce agreement, will you sign it or not?"

"I won't sign."

Alexander immediately refused: "I have borrowed the money, and the marrow for treating Mary just can be mine."

Ha ha.

Mr. Marshall laughed coldly twice and said angrily: "So what if you've borrowed the money? The director of this hospital is my friend. If I say not to use your marrow for the treatment, it won't be used!"

This useless man still wanted to use his lowly marrow to treat his great-granddaughter?

No way!

Hearing this, Alexander's heart sank and he said: "Grandfather, Mary is my daughter, why not use mine?"

"Why? Isn't it because you are a useless good-for-nothing, embarrassing our Marshall family!"

Mother-in-law Valeria folded her arms and mocked.

If it weren't for him, her status in the Marshall family wouldn't have fallen so miserably.

"Haha, exactly, Alexander, what are you? You're just a dog, and you want to donate marrow for Mary? If you have the ability, call the director here!"

Tommy mocked: "As long as the director says to use your marrow, our Marshall family will have no objection, right, grandfather?"

Mr. Marshall nodded, saying: "That's right, as long as the director of this hospital says to use your marrow, I have no objections."

Is that possible?

Rolando Marshall had already spoken.

Director Talon Byrne was his good friend.

Alexander wanting to donate marrow for Mary was harder than reaching the sky!

Eleanor looked at this scene, her eyes filled with thick mist, she resentfully looked at Alexander, stepped forward and slapped him, scolding: "Alexander, why are you so useless!"

Then she cried angrily, turned, and ran away holding her face.

Alexander received the slap, his cheek slightly red, watched Eleanor run out, and wanted to chase after her.

But at this moment, two doctors in white coats entered the hospital room.

"Aiyo, Director Byrne, why are you here, specially visiting my great-granddaughter?"

Mr. Marshall saw the person at the door and immediately extended his hands respectfully.

Although they were friends, Rolando Marshall still had to give Talon Byrne face.

After all, Talon's reputation in Golden Harbor was great.

Many big enterprises and wealthy families in Golden Harbor had consulted Talon's hospital and had dealings with Talon.

This was a great social connection.

Moreover, Talon's reputation in the country was not bad either, in the medical community, he was known as the Divine Doctor for treating leukemia.

In Golden Harbor, eight out of ten people had to give Talon face.

Rolando had to be respectful in front of Talon.

Talon, about 50-60 years old, with a Director's badge on his chest, scanned the room as if looking for someone, then smiled at Mr. Marshall: "Mr. Marshall, you're too polite, I came to tell you something."

"Director Byrne, if you have something to say, you could have just called the nurse to inform me, no need to come personally." Mr. Marshall flattered.

Talon smiled, his eyes falling on Alexander, he stepped forward, pushed Rolando's hand aside, and very respectfully said to Alexander: "Mr. Reynolds, right? Hello, I'm the director of this hospital, Talon."

Then he extended both hands.

Alexander was not simple.

Five minutes ago, he had received a call in the director's office.

It was a call from the group behind the hospital!

They said just one thing, a distinguished gentleman was in the hospital, and Talon had to obey his orders and not go against any of his wishes!

And that gentleman was the useless son-in-law of the Marshall family, Alexander Reynolds!

To make the financial group behind personally call and inform him, it was clear that Alexander was absolutely not the useless person rumored in Golden Harbor.

This scene stunned everyone in the Marshall family in the hospital room!

Especially Mr. Marshall, who couldn't believe his eyes.

What was going on?

Talon was being polite to a useless man, and even extending both hands!

"Director Byrne, what are you doing? Why are you being polite to this useless man?"

Mr. Marshall furrowed his brows, asking in confusion.

Tommy also chimed in: "Yes, Director Byrne, Alexander is just a son-in-law of the Marshall family, he has no skills, no need to be polite to him."

"Exactly, Director Byrne, my son-in-law is just a poor man, why are you being polite to him?"

Valeria also mocked, immediately pointing at Alexander and scolding: "Alexander, what are you doing, seeing Director Byrne and not greeting him, what, giving you some hornor, you still want to wait for him to shake hands with you, a useless man?"

But.

Suddenly, Talon Byrne's face turned cold, and he scolded: "Rude! How can you speak to Mr. Reynolds like that? Useless man? You must know, Mr. Reynolds is…."

Cough!

Alexander suddenly coughed, interrupting Talon, extended his hand, shook Talon's hand with a humble and modest smile, and said: "Director Byrne, hello, how is my daughter's condition?"

Talon was stunned, turned his head, and read something in Alexander's eyes, then immediately said: "Mr. Reynolds, rest assured, the hospital will do everything possible to treat your daughter's condition."

It seemed Mr. Reynolds didn't want to reveal his identity in front of these people.

Slap!

Suddenly, Valeria reached out and slapped away Alexander's hand from shaking Talon's, scolding: "What are you doing, Director Byrne is not someone you can shake hands with, you useless man!"
