Level 9

"Huh?"

A collective gasp resounded throughout the hall as most of the students didn't know what the light represented and they couldn't help but look at Elijah with scorn. So what if his talent was excellent?

Even though the Clone ability was super rare, it was still considered the most useless as there was nothing one could do with the ability. At most, they would be able to create clones of themselves.

Even if they did create clones of themselves, they didn't know any destructive spell to fight and could only wait to be slaughtered. Besides, all the clones created would be ordinary.

At most, he could only become an average person in the future and waste his life away doing some menial jobs. He was a disgrace to his elder sister and parents.

The principal and other staff who were present shook their heads as they looked at Elijah in disdain. What good was it for them to have such trash in their school, they would only become a laughing stock.

At this moment, the principal made up his mind to expel Elijah right after the ceremony; he was not going to have such trash in his school.

Elijah looked at the principal who was looking at him without hiding the disdain in his eyes, and couldn't help but shake his head then, walked down the podium slowly and then out of the hall followed by many eyes.

Immediately he walked out, chatter broke out as everyone started whispering to each other.

"He's such a disgrace, he didn't awaken a useful element!"

"If I was the one, I'd go and commit suicide as I wouldn't be able to face anyone."

Elijah sighed as he walked back home. Opening the door, he saw his sister sitting on the sofa waiting for him.

Immediately she heard the door open, she turned around and looked at Elijah with a bright smile, excitedly, she asked.

"What ability did you awaken?"

"The clone ability," Elijah said as he walked toward his room.

"Huh?" Emily froze hearing what Elijah said and she couldn't help but feel disappointed.

After a while, she came back to her senses, but Elijah was no longer there. Immediately, she ran towards his room, but his door was locked.

"Elijah, open the door." Emily sighed as she said slowly.

"No sister, I want to be alone for now," Elijah replied.

"Just open the door," Emily sighed as she tried to persuade.

"No sister, I want to be alone, leave me alone," Elijah replied.

Emily sighed and didn't say anything, she could understand her brother's feelings and just wanted to console him. No matter how useless the ability he had awakened was, he was still her brother and nothing was going to change that position in her heart.

After thinking for a while, she decided to let him be, she was sure that he was going to come around soon. Then she would be able to console him and reassure him that she wasn't in any way disappointed.

Elijah on the other hand sighed as he lay on the bed looking at the ceiling. What the hell was happening? He had thought that he was going to awaken a destructive ability, but in the end, he had awakened the clone's ability.

How was this supposed to help him? He wanted to be unrestrained in this life, he wanted to be the most powerful and wouldn't have to be tied to any kind of rules. But it seemed like all his dreams were all for naught.

Besides, wasn't he supposed to awaken a golden finger, like a system or something? In the stories he had read, all the main characters had awakened a golden finger after something like this, and it seemed like his luck was terrible.

After a while, Elijah sighed and sat up, instead of brooding, he was going to see how the ability worked. How was he going to use it, there was no way he was going to agree to be a mediocre person.

Elijah crossed his legs and began to circulate his mana throughout his body, at first the circulation was slow, but soon, it became fast as the mana moved from his Mana core to all parts of his body.

In no time, Elijah felt exhausted as the mana in his body which was very little to begin with was exhausted and he could go no more, panting as though he had just run a race, he opened his eyes.

Huh?

Elijah froze as he looked at his side, by his side was another figure which looked exactly like him.

"Master!" The figure immediately went on his knees just as Elijah was staring at it making him even more shocked.

Elijah alighted from his bed slowly and looked at the figure carefully, he hadn't expected to produce a clone just by circulating his mana, besides, his mana was so small that it was only able to produce just one.

Thinking like this, Elijah immediately sat on the bed, crossed his legs, and started to absorb the surrounding mana into his body. He wanted to see if he would be able to create another clone after absorbing enough mana into his body.

After about an hour, Elijah opened his eyes, and much to his shock, the clone in front of him was also sitting cross-legged, absorbing mana just like he was.

Just as Elijah was staring at the clone, the clone slowly opened its eyes.

"I..."

"Puff..."

A low puffing sound came interrupting Elijah just as he was about to say something, and the next moment, the clone disappeared.

"What the fuck!" Elijah cursed as he wasn't expecting this.

But the next moment, he froze as he felt a warm stream of energy flow into his body, adding to the mana inside his Mana core, but at the moment, the mana was too much and the space in his Mana core was unable to hold it.

"Crack!"

A loud cracking sound suddenly resounded in Elijah's ears, and immediately he felt extremely comfortable, at the same time, the space in his Mana core became larger, about five times the size it was before.
