Cade finally spoke up. He had gotten the reaction he wanted, to his satisfaction. He had seen the unmistakable surprise in Alex's eyes. Had seen Alex’s mother pass out in front of everyone. Had heard his father call out his name as though he were unsure of Cade's existence. He also had a good time watching the board members wonder aloud and in surprise. He was not the only one that was pleased by the reaction, even Gale could hardly keep a straight face at this time. "Gentlemen." Cade began. "Please can we be calm?" It was almost physically impossible for the men to calm down. As for Cassandra, she obviously could not, because she still had an awestruck look on her face. "I will tell you all about everything now," he said. He looked around, noting that his call had been effective. The men were calm now and listening expectantly. Cade gestured to Gale who understood and went to sit somewhere in the room. Then Cade kept his glasses on the table in the room and began his narration.

“You can’t make demands like that. You’re not even a board member, but you seem to keep forgetting your place just because we let you be part of some meetings out of courtesy.” Gale said to Cassandra.“It’s fine, Gale.” Cade said with a smile and everyone turned to him, even his mother was surprised that he wanted to agree to Cassandra’s term.“She’s right. Carlson was still in shock when he returned to his dorm room. He had no idea what to do and for a moment, he began to regret why he told Leighton to stay behind. Maybe if she had come with him, she would be able to keep him company at least even if she wouldn’t have a plan of action. But he had thought he needed to be alone. Hours and hours later, after the procedure was complete, Cade opened his eyes again. The Doctor allowed only Raegan to go in to see him. When he made an attempt to sneeze, Raegan ran to his side as though to stop whatever pain his sneezing might cause him. He wasn’t strong enough to receive plenty of visitors yet. It was relieving for Raegan, as much as it was quite burdensome, given that she would have to relay the news that she had just found out about Carlson to him sooner or later and it may be too much for him to handle in his current state. What are his chances of recovery now?” She asked with a worried expression.“Well, from what we’ve observed, his body received the bone marrow well. We still need to keep him here for a few days to monitor him closely, but from what his results show, there might not even be a need for added chemotherapy.
