"Will you speak now?" Cade asked as he saw the man shaking from the fear of being tortured."I will," the man said reluctantly, even though he was visibly shaking. To him, Alex was so insignificant that he never felt threatened by the boy and his mother. It seems the two of them wanted him to remember them again and come after them. As Cade's security staff swiftly brought out his phone to call the police to apprehend the intruder, Cade, his mind ablaze with a mix of anger and determination, went into the house. Cade smiled and nodded curtly, indicating his thankful response. The smile on his face fell as he made his way to Alex's penthouse, a sleek residence that symbolised luxury and privilege, only that it was misused luxury and privilege. The gates creaked open, granting passage to a place that held memories of betrayal and abandonment. Alex did not bother driving back to his penthouse. There was a small motel he knew that they could go hiding till they found a way to leave the country, or were sure that Cade would not come looking for them. As he drove, confusion sat in his mother's face. "Where are we headed?" She asked, not understanding the directions that Alex was taking. "A hiding place, mom," Alex said, not hiding his impatience at his mother's annoying question. Cassandra knew not to ask another question, and just kept quiet and let her son do his thing. In that bright morning, Alex and Cassandra dashed through the not so familiar outskirts of town, Alex driving as fast as he could, as though Cade was coming after him right then. We could drive down there in four hours if the road is free, but if there’s traffic, five to six hours." "Okay. Let us go in the evening, then. The mother and son knew that it would be a bad idea to carry out their evil plot in broad daylight, so they planned to strike at night. But their last plot was also during the night and it also failed so they knew that they had to be more careful. The only other problem they had was figuring out what time to capture Raegan, and if at all she was going to be out around the water park that night. They had sent someone to watch over her for some days and figure out if she had a routine she followed so they would be able to predict her location and ascertain the best place to strike.
